After 20 years of collecting, the time has come for me to sell my Beatles collection and let other collectors appreciate some of the records and memorabilia I've accumilated over the years. Please check out my other listings and remember to save me as a favourite seller, as every week I'll be listing more and more increasingly rare, collectible and desirable Beatles records!
Please be aware that all records are VISUALLY graded only - all grades are given based on how they appear under my desk lamp - since I do not own a record player. I cannot guarantee that discs will be click and skip free, although any marks and scratches that might possibly cause such problems will be highlighted clearly in the description.

Just currently going through a small pile of Rolling Stones I also have in my collection. Next week will be back to all Beatles!
This auction is for a rare MONO 1st pressing of the Rolling Stones 1968 Decca LP 'Through the Past Darkly (Big Hits Vol. 2).
By 1969 mono was pretty much a dead format. Stereo records coming down in price to be the same as their mono counterparts along with the price of stereo record players drastically dropping meant that everybody bought stereo and the mono copies were left on the shelf. Mono sales dropped so much that by 1969 it was discontinued completely as a format across all labels!
Hard to find and pretty collectible!
Comes with it's original hexagonal sleeve and custom mono inner sleeve!

The original hexagonal cover is looking good, especially when you consider how fragile this album cover design was! The front has a nice, rich colour to it with some laminate creases (nothing serious( and a little rounding to the corners. Top, bottom and side seam are all holding tight with no wear or splitting. The spine, unfortunately, has worn through, mostly back to the paper underneath. It's fragile and has a small tear at the top ( 1/2"), but it hasn't split. Back cover is looking good with just a couple of little laminate creases, but nothing serious. The inner gatefold is looking very clean with no real weaar or dirt buildup or anything, and just a little rubbing around the very edges of the left side. Overall, not looking bad, with just the spine letting it down a little. Inner Sleeve: VG

The original custom mono inner sleeve is included. There's no splitting but does have some light creasing, and there's some light browning and staining on it. Disc (Visually Graded Only!!) : GOOD

The playing surface is looking slightly tired and has a fair amount of light scuffs and marks along with a few slightly heavier scuffs and a few very light surface scratches. On side 1 at the 8 o'clock position there's a light surface scratch that run from track 3 to the middle of track 5. It's light but is just about feelable under the fingernail.

The labels are looking okay. The silver text is clear and still looking pretty bright. There's quite a lot of light spindlewear and some light wear around the centrehole. The name 'Paul' is written on the right of side 2.

All LPs will be mailed out in a strong, corrugated cardboard LP mailing box with the LP outside the sleeve. Extra sheets of corrugated cardboard will be used where applicable and FRAGILE tape used
