Description
The ROLLING STONES (1st Record; self-titled) "England's Newest Hit Makers" Rare PROMO album; white sticker and labels; no poster Original London LL 3375 mono (Please examine the photos for reference) Tip: The Reserve Price is under $100 ;-)
- VINYL & WEAR: Considerable. Both sides are covered in scratches, though none caused any skips. Constant scratch-produced crackling to varying degrees; not that many loud pops. I just played it in full, and though annoying found it listenable. If you've a high tolerance towards scratches, that is ;-) The fidelity itself is pretty good, beneath the surface noise.
- COVER & WEAR: Aside from the following defects, the cover looks presentable with no stains or creases. However, please note: a signature is visible at lower right corner, reverse; moderate ring-wear is on the back; the spine's seam is closed by an ancient piece of tape (applied well enough), so the title is obliterated; there's a 5" split along the top edge, right side; a couple of smaller splits along the bottom; there's a small 1/2" tear at the edge, look "between the buttons" to find it ;-)
- INNER SLEEVE: Generic inner sleeve, white & windowed (both sides) with no splits
- INSERTS: No Poster ; unknown whether the promos shipped with them
- LABEL: London white label promo; "Not For Sale" factory-printed at top. Little wear; no writing or marks.
INTRO: I've been out of eBay action for awhile and lost my TRS and PS ratings, but am experienced in giving my customers 100% satisfaction (or as close as I can get). Prior to this I'd been selling baseball cards and comics with excellent results. Now it's come time to pare down my record collection! The albums have been well-kept and prior to shooting are cleaned with the Hunt E.D.A. Mark 6 Brush, and played on a Pro-ject Audio Systems 1.2 turntable for audio quality. Rest assured that I'll pack and ship your records with care. I'm unable to accept returns at this point, but will work out any problems with you (and have rarely had any).
GRADING: I'm not a professional grader, but have collected and cared for records since the mid-'60s when I began collecting. I'm uncomfortable with the vagueness and subjectivity of modern grading terminology at this point, but I'll describe the sound and quality to the best of my ability. I normally play areas of the record for pops or skips and then examine the vinyl visually under strong light. Likewise the cover's quality and "feel", as well as inner sleeve, label, and other notes. Please refer to the photographs when considering your bid, and if you have any questions or want better photos, please ask and I'll respond quickly.
N.A. SHIPPING: I'll ship US Media Mail by default, but will ship however you wish, as long as you foot the bill and tracking is available. If you want quicker service than Media Mail, research the costs/availability and we can make arrangements before payment. I'll most always ship 1-2 days after cleared funds are received. Also factor in insurance/customs if necessary; the winning bidder is responsible for these.
- USA: $4 for USPS Media Mail w/ Delivery Confirmation; + $2 for each additional album (+$3 for double albums)
- CANADA: $10.99 for USPS 1st Class Mail; +3 for each additional album (+$4 for double albums) Please be aware of insurance and customs fees; full value will be indicated on forms. Shipping method to Canada will require tracking and/or delivery confirmation, as some methods don't allow for this.
INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING: I haven't shipped International before, so it'll be touch-and-go until I sort things out. The address needs to be verifiable so as to allow for tracking/confirmation of delivery. Also, please consider insurance, customs, and other costs before bidding. As above, I'll ship in any (track-able) manner which you prefer, as long as you bear the cost. It may take a day or two longer to arrange than the US shipping, but hopefully not. For now, I'll go with USPS First Class Mail, which is estimated at $18.99, + $5 for each additional album or + $8 for double albums.
Please note: these shipping prices aren't etched in stone, and I'll be adjusting them as I see how these methods work. I have no interest in charging any fees other than the actual shipping, so will try to adjust them downwards as time goes on :-) It's been hard to find a standard lowest-rate, but I'm still looking (and will welcome any advice!).
OUTRO: I'll eventually be putting up much of my record collection of LPs and 45s, which includes many rarities, promos and promotional items. I plan on eventually expanding into miscellany such as tour programs and magazines, so please stay tuned!
Thank you for looking and (considering) bidding on this item, and good luck!
