THE ROLLING STONES ''THE ROLLING STONES'' 1ST UK DEBUT PRESSING

UNBOXED DECCA LABELS CAT No. LK 4605 ABSOLUTELY AWESOME ORIGINAL TOP (((MONO))) AUDIO

1964  THIS AUDIO IS RATED AT THE TOP! VERY, VERY NEAR PERFECT FOR THE MOST PART, (Just minor isolatic interference only) (LOUDER CUT AUDIO) (NO DISTORTION, NO NASTY CONSTANT LOUD CLICKS OR POPS DURING THE AUDIO)  LOOK MEGA EARLY '1A' ' 3A' MATRIX!! AWESOME UK ISSUE MACNEIL PRESS NON FLIP BACK COVER!

BEAUTIFUL COPY!

EARLIEST "1" TO "1" MOTHER STAMPERS!

LOOK! 1A AND 3A MATRIX! MEGA EARLIEST LOOK "1" TO "1" MOTHER STAMPERS! THE EARLIEST PRODUCE THE BEST EVER AUDIO QUALITY!  THIS PLAYS AWESOME,TOP AUDIO ON MY SYSTEM! UNBELEIVABLE LOUD CUT AUDIO ON ALL FREQUENCIES!

Another from my personal collection, I have owned this copy for over 40 years and this has been stored in a case with the vinyl and sleeve separated from the cover which has obviously preserved the album from the normal horrible, storage ware that is often seen! Please note! This is listed for its collectability rather than for its condition. This is a slightly later unboxed Decca variation, strangely still features the early biem & NCB in a box on the labels,,  being a scarce variation the Mona track is not featured on both the cover or the labels.  There is just light storage wear with age in my opinion, but in general this is nice and clean and a very enjoyable copy to own and have  Play tested a few times at very loud volume with a dedicated mono cartridge, this vinyl is a joy to listen to, absolute stunning cristal clear and vibrant top "Loud Cut" audio throughout rarely found like this, notice that the hand claps and instruments are sharp and very vibrant on these earliest pressings and can't be found like this or on any other format available.
This copy will be hard to surpass, without any loud constant clicks, or pops, just light isolated places I noticed just light interference in the form of three to four odd very light and isolated clicks in one place one on the outro and three in between a track only to mention, but fortunately nothing that would spoil the overall enjoyment of this record! (Don't take my word for it listen to the whole album in the player below) Amaizingly I heard none of the usual background crackle that is usually heard on these 50 year old Rolling Stones records. It is my opinion that visually and audibly this vinyl has just had very minimal play only and certainly not over played in my opinion! Becoming impossible to find like this! Excellent plus to very, very near mint audio on my systems!
Look mega early 2A 3A Matrix endings and the earliest possible "1" to "1" Mother stampers. Earliest for the best possible audio quality on vinyl in my opinion. 50 years old like this!

Points to note about the digital recording! The above player has a recording actually recorded from the vinyl. Please remember that this is a digital recording from an analogue vinyl and at a very low sample bit rate of 128 kbps also for the fact that it is mono. I notice a loss in quality on some frequencies especially when heard on firefox browser using ogg file. I would like to point out that this is not heard when played on an analogue system nor when I recorded it originally on a digital system. It is something to do with the conversion from analogue to digital for this file conversion. It is better listened to in Google Chrome or Safari Browser (but not mobile), which uses the MP3 file version. I know this is not ideal but it still gives you a good idea of the quality of the vinyl.

The Rolling Stones are an English band whose blues, rhythm and blues and rock and roll-infused music became popular during the "British Invasion" in the early 1960s!

The band was formed in London in 1962 by Brian Jones, and eventually was led by the songwriting partnership of singer Mick Jagger and guitarist Keith Richards!.

During their 1969 American tour, the Stones were introduced and have often been referred to subsequently as "The Greatest Rock and Roll Band in the World", and their early image of unkempt and surly youth is one that many musicians still emulate. The band have released 55 albums of original work[ and compilations, and have had 37 top-10 singles They have sold over 200 million albums worldwide!!!

On 12 July 1962 the group played its first gig at the Marquee club in London, billed as "The Rollin' Stones". The line-up was Jagger, Richards, Brian Jones, Ian Stewart on piano, Taylor on bass and Mick Avoryon drums!.

Jones intended for the band to play primarily Chicago blues, but Jagger and Richards brought the rock 'n roll of Chuck BerrY and Bo Diddley to the band After shifting formations, bassist Bill Wyman would join later that December and drummer Charlie Watts the following January and would became the Stones' long standing rhythm section In June 1963 the band released their first UK single, a cover of Berry's "Come On".

The Beatles recommended the Stones to future manager Andrew Loog Oldham, and George Harrison who encouraged Decca Records to sign the band!..

Their first EP, The Rolling Stones and album (also titled The Rolling Stones, except in the US where it was titled England's Newest Hit Makers), were comprised primarily of covers drawn from the band's live repertoire.

After signing with Decca, the Stones began touring the U.K. and Europe. On their first tour of England, the Stones were packaged with American stars including Ike and Tina Turner, Bo Diddley, The Ronettes, The Everly Brothers and Little Richard!

THE VINYL

This is the original and heavier and thicker \ deeper grooved type of vinyl only found on these early pressings! Later press were much more flimsier and less robust.

On initial visual inspection the vinyl lays perfectly flat on the turntable and still retains its original sheen from new and looks lovely, In fact it is hard for me to even see any scratches on the surface. On close inspection when looking under a very strong light there is the odd minute mark here and there but at least nothing deep that would cause any loud constant clicks or pops. I notice some light surface grase type scuff marks only hear and there but again fortunately nothing deep that would cause too much interference in my opinion. Any other marks that could possibly be seen angled to strong light would be light whyspy sleeve removal only! Importantly I can see (no) deep needle or audio sounding marks that would cause loud annoying constant clicks or pops!

The audio quality

I have played this vinyl track for track four times at very loud volume prior to listing, on a top system using a dedicated mono cartridge. In my opinion it is obvious to me that visualy and audibly from the moment that the needle hits the playing surface that this vinyl has been played but not been over played the audio is clear sharp and very vibrant through out!

The audio is awesome crystal clear and vibrant through out! Please note! With (no) signs of distortion or any signs of grooveware! The first thing to note is that his plays with no constant loud clicks and I never heard any background crackle or distortion at all during the audio, one of the most vibrant sounding vinyls of this pressing that I have heard, such as real pleasure to play, I really wanted to play and play this album over and over again and I noticed how clear the instruments sounded and hand claps were also clear, very nice to hear like this!. There was perhapes, the odd isolated static ticks heard in some quiet parts to mention when listening to the digital recording at the most static crackle was rarely heard  but even in between tracks background noise is extreemely minimal. One place to mention that I heard four light clicks only, one at the outro to a track and three in between tracks probably caused by someone having dropped the needle at this point, but again nothing that spoilt the overall enjoyment of the album in my personal opinion.  So rare for a stones vinyl that is 50 years old! Please note This audio is clear and vibrant all the way through! Please look at my completed listing of records that i have sold of this calaber and you will see that i normally get it right! THOSE WHO KNOW ABOUT THE RECORDS THAT I LIST WOULD KNOW THAT MY PRIME INTEREST IS THE AUDIO QUALITY IT IS MY OPINION AFTER PLAYING THIS ALBUM A FEW TIMES THE AUDIO IS GRADED AT THE TOP! Please note these earliest pressings are cut at a louder volume than later pressings that I have heard, in my opinion a much more enjoyable experiance! Please take the time to listen to the complete album in the player avove digitally recorded and is much more unforgiving than analogue systems but a good way to hear any imperfections in my opinion! I would grade the audio at least excellent plus very near mint for the most part!

Please note! I always add this disclaimer! I have given my honest opinion when describing the audio quality of this album and those who know the listings and vinyls that i sell my prime interest is the audio quality! Please allow for the odd isolated static\ticks  isolated light clicks as mentioned earlier not consistent  through out the audio! This is a genuine (not) reissue vinyl that is 50 years old and would have been played on a system that is 50 years old!

Please note, this album has been stored in a case laying dormant for at least 45 years or more. A build up of dirt and dust in the grooves causes static\ crackle. A constant clean before each play is recommended. This will reduce any static and will enhance the audio quality. Points to note, I notice debrit on the playing surface after play so this will need cleaning before each play which will further enhance this audio quality.

The labels

These feature the unboxed decca logo (only 1st press) Also these feature the familiar Decca  circular groove! the kt tax stamper is also featured on the labels and the run off grooves (only earliest press) these are in superb condition. Spidering can be seen around the spindle hole, this has obviously been played but not over played in my opinion.  no major spindle ware around the the hole this is perfectly round. In my opinion this has not been over played. ''Made In England'' text is featured J.T. tax code featured on the run off grooves! (UK pressing)!

The cover

This is the UK laminated  front only cover laminated by Clairifoil made by Celanese Limited and printed in England  by MacNeil Press! ) Absolutely super super glossy appearance this has obviously been preserved in this stunning condition by being stored in a poly sleeve for all of its storage life and being seperated from the vinyl to prevent nasty ringware and rubbing! There are (no) splits or tares around the edges. And again amaizingly just light thumb type, laminate creases to the laminate and at the spine end only, these do not protrude to the rear.  (see photo) Please note these are only in the laminate, without any major ringware often seen on these issues.   The writing can be clearly seen at the spine The rear is exceptionaly clean with (no) horrible names written, apart from if looked for some one has marked/highlighted some tracks in pen but this does not stand out. (see photos) The rear is exceptionaly clean any rubbing ware you would have to really look for indeed This cover is superbe compared to others that i have seen, rare like this! This cover does not feature the track "Mona" featurs "I need You Babe" This cover must grade at least excellent in my opinion! Unbeleivably rare to find in this condition!

The Mono Decca poly lined record sleeve

This is the original poly lined sleeve becomming fragile with age at the edges at general creasings with age. (see photos)
