Description

For sale by auction, one of the most important LPs in Rock history. I believe, this is the very first press of the 1st Rolling Stones LP. The item is in very good condition for its age but with a few signs of normal ageing that the buyer may wish to fix. Please read description carefully and look at my photos.

Label: DECCA Mono Catalog#: LK.4605 Format: Vinyl, LP, Album
Country: UK Released: 1964 Matrix: XARL-6271-1A & XARL-6272-1A   Condition/Notes: this is a very good and complete copy of the classic LP, but it's not an excellent/mint copy. Specifically:   VINYL: I would rate the vinyl as VG+ for Side A, with minor spindle marks. For side B, I would say VG-, because there are a few scratches and spindle marks. The Labels are perfect (near mint), with the "deep groove". The matrices are very clear. The outer edge is good, without any bending/wrapping   INNER SLEEVE: The original sleeve is in excellent condition with no tears/splits and with only a little colour "yellowing" and light creasing   OUTER COVER: this is intact and in Good to VG- condition. Front cover has prominent creases on the right and top left sides. There is a small peel of the laminate film at the top (not visible). The spine also has creases. There seems to be a little discolouration at the bottom centre. Back cover (which is not laminated) is intact with a little colour yellowing, few ageing marks ("fox" marks) and ringwear mark (again this is something that could be restored). Overall, serious collectors may wish to restore the laminate film cover and clean the back cover if they want a perfect copy   I have given a description which is as accurate as possible, without exaggeration.
