SHE'S A RAINBOW / 2000 LIGHT YEARS FROM HOME
RARE STAR * LABEL ~ 1st ISSUE
The star * on the label was very short lived and it's purpose was to denote the "A" side of the 45. (It's a scarcer issue that didn't last long & is only on the first run copies!!!)
This is the only single I know that has a Beatles / Rolling Stones / Led Zeppelin connection! Lennon & McCartney were brought in to sing the backup "la-la-la's" and you can find the Beatles faces in the flowers on the front & back of the sleeve. JOHN PAUL JONES arranged the strings for "SHE'S A RAINBOW" about 2 years before he joined Led Zeppelin. WOW! Three of the biggest groups ever!
Beautiful sleeve that just screams "THE SUMMER OF LOVE" 1967. NO seam splits, writing, tape, staple holes, stains or tears!!! Not even any of those tiny tears along the top edge! There is some corner bending but no folds and ever so mild wear that is so faint it doesn't detract from the sleeve.
This record could be in it's own listing but I won't split the two up! This is a package deal that most don't have. (may not be another on eBay!) Check out the star * on the one label. These songs had never been heard before and you needed help from the star to know which side was the "A" side. Beautiful labels with no writing, stickers or tears. Some imperfections to the vinyl but both sides are TEST PLAYED w/ NO SKIPS and great sound quality! Comes in a plastic sleeve. Fast shipping!
