Description
ARTIST: THE ROLLING STONES
TITLE: AFTERMATH
LABEL: DECCA MONO LK 4786
This is an early UK FIRST PRESS copy on the red unboxed Decca label in all round EX condition.
This LP has great vinyl and a great sleeve to match. It is has first press matrix numbers XARL-7209-4A and XARL-7210-4B and very early stampers 1,K G and 1,1 U. Like all the earliest copies of this LP it is on the 'grooved' Decca label (i.e. there is a circular groove about a centimetre in from the edge of the label.) Later copies have a flat label.
The vinyl has all its original lustre and oily sheen. It has only a very very few extremely light marks only visible under bright light and although clearly not mint it must grade EX. The labels have no writing or marks and only a few spindle trails to show it has been played. The play quality is super with no nasty crcakle, no hiss and no pops, no skips, no sticks, no repeats and no high end distortion - it plays through extremly well - very quiet between tracks - and will not disappoint. I would grade it EX for sound.
Unlike most copies of this LP which turn up today the Robert Stace sleeve does not have lots of nasty creases nor does it have a grubby unlaminated rear. This cover is really in very fine condition as you can see with no creasing, no edge wear, a straight readable spine and sharp unworn opening edges. The back has only the very lightest fading along the top edge but is otherwise clean and white and with the sharp corners as well so I must grade the sleeve at least EX.
THIS IS A REALLY VERY FINE COPY AND AN EARLY FIRST PRESS COPY AS WELL. BID WITH CONFIDENCE THIS WILL NOT DISAPPOINT.

BUYER INFORMATION
Please note that unless the play quality is specifically mentioned records are graded visually. I aim to describe the visual appearance of all items accurately using the standards below which are based on the UK Record Collector Price Guide. The highest grade I use now is NEAR MINT ('UNPLAYED' if still sealed in shrink wrap or occasionally full MINT but only if the provenance of the item suggests this to be correct). Records graded EX+ or EX++ would probably be called 'near mint' or 'mint' by most sellers. Please READ THE ITEM DESCRIPTION CAREFULLY and study photographs to avoid disappointment later. I will refund only on items which do not conform to the description and standards set out here.
GRADING SYSTEM
NEAR MINT: The record appears to be in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and other inserts are perfect. For MINT grading see above
EXCELLENT: The item has been played and may have some light surface marks but there is very little, if any, lessening in sound quality. Cover and contents have slight wear.
VERY GOOD: The record has been played quite alot but displays no major deterioration in sound quality despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Cover and contents show some wear.
GOOD:The record has been played many times and the sound quality has deteriorated noticeably. The cover and contents are often damaged.
I use EX++,EX+,VG++,VG+ as subsidiary gradings. Unless the record is extremely rare I do not sell items which are less than VG in condition.
