Here for sale an DUTCH ONLY PRESSING of The Rolling Stones first album in the RARE and VERY SPECIAL edition of 1968 with the psychedelic cover known as BUTTERFLY COVER!! This is an ABSOLUTE ORIGINAL in still a nice condition.
The condition of this record and sleeve are overall VG+. The sleeve is a strong VG++ (some will call this an EX), while the record is a not more than VG (visual) to VG+ (play graded). For the sleeve this means that there is a bit of wear around the corners (see pictures), while on the back sleeve there's a mark in the upper left corner left behind from a sticker. It is of course the normal original flipback cover. The vinyl has quite some visible hairlines and scuffs, which you can't feel, but in between the songs the vinyl is somewhat noisy. The songs themselves sound however beautifully strong and clear, except for track 5 of side 2 (You can make it if you try), where there is one scratch that you can feel and hear. During the song you will notice soft clicks in the background from this scratch.

Matrix numbers: AA 825 384 1Y 1 & AA 825 384 2Y 1 (machine stamped; following this matrix number there's also a year of publishing stamped, 1968, and the number 670 11, 670 11 3 which you normally see in old Decca, Polydor, Fontana and Philips records; I don't know the meaning of these extra numbers except than for the year).
