BETWEEN THE BUTTONS
MONO 1st PRESS
Sleeve printed by James Upton
KT Tax Code
SLEEVE : EX
VINYL : EX-
Matrix Numbers : XARL-7644-4A / XARL-7645-4A
Sleeve :
The laminated front cover is in great shape : just a hint of ringwear and some minor laminate creasing. The tapered corners still retain their shape. The spine is all clearly readable and unworn. The rear sleeve is unmarked, just a slight hint of fading.
Vinyl / Audio :
The vinyl is nice and shiny with no obvious flaws, just a few light surface marks when inspected under a bright light.
In general the audio is excellent, loud, warm and clear with just very light surface noise occasionally. For example, the near-acoustic 'Back Street Girl' is near flawless as far as I can tell, a sure sign that the album has not been over-played. Jagger's vocal are more relaxed and to the fore than on previous albums.
The only flaws to note are a couple of slight 'pops' on either side (literally 2 or 3) and one very brief skip at the beginning of 'Yesterday's Papers'. Overall the sound is so pleasing that these minor flaws are more than acceptible.
