Another from my personal collection of over 50,000 Uk albums that I have collected over a period of 45 years or more!. This is an early original pressing of "The Rolling Stones Debut lp" in mono. Released in 1969 on the original red Boxed Decca labels.  It has always been stored in a case with the vinyl removed from the cover and sleeve for protection. This is how I have always stored my records. Visually the vinyl looks barely ever played no more than two or three times only in my opinion. Barely a handful of feint spider traces around the spindle hole. , No needle scratches or marks that would cause any loud constant clicks or pops, Near as perfect sound quality and fantastic bassey feel and separation only heard like this on the earliest pressings. Please listen to the recording in the player below. I would grade the audio at Near Mint throughout in my opinion. I don't think that you weill find a better sounding vinyl! No Clicks, ticks or pops, silent in between tracks. The Most vibrant copy that I have heard truly amazing! 42 years old like this!
The original UK issue MacNeil Press laminated front only cover is also in absolutely beautiful condition throughout graded at Near Mint. Very very very rare like this!

For me the audio quality has always been my prime interest with vinyl. Mono audio graded at Near Mint in my opinion!

The Rolling Stones are an English band whose blues, rhythm and blues and rock and roll-infused music became popular during the "British Invasion" in the early 1960s!

 

 

  The band was formed in London in 1962 by Brian Jones, and eventually was led by the songwriting partnership of singer Mick Jagger and guitarist Keith Richards!.

 

 

 During their 1969 American tour, the Stones were introduced and have often been referred to subsequently as "The Greatest Rock and Roll Band in the World", and their early image of unkempt and surly youth is one that many musicians still emulate. The band have released 55 albums of original work[ and compilations, and have had 37 top-10 singles They have sold over 200 million albums worldwide!!!

 

 

On 12 July 1962 the group played its first gig at the Marquee club in London, billed as "The Rollin' Stones". The line-up was Jagger, Richards, Brian Jones, Ian Stewart on piano, Taylor on bass and Mick Avoryon drums!.

 

 

 Jones intended for the band to play primarily Chicago blues, but Jagger and Richards brought the rock 'n roll of Chuck BerrY and Bo Diddley to the band After shifting formations, bassist Bill Wyman would join later that December and drummer Charlie Watts the following January and would became the Stones' long standing rhythm section In June 1963 the band released their first UK single, a cover of Berry's "Come On".

 

 

The Beatles recommended the Stones to future manager Andrew Loog Oldham, and George Harrison who encouraged Decca Records to sign the band!..

 

 

 Their first EP, The Rolling Stones and album (also titled The Rolling Stones, except in the US where it was titled England's Newest Hit Makers), were comprised primarily of covers drawn from the band's live repertoire.

After signing with Decca, the Stones began touring the U.K. and Europe. On their first tour of England, the Stones were packaged with American stars including Ike and Tina Turner, Bo Diddley, The Ronettes, The Everly Brothers and Little Richard!

The Vinyl
On visual inspection this lays perfectly flat on the turntable and free from any warping. This has barely ever been played at all in my opinion.  This is a real beaty. Any marks that can be seen angled to the light would be sleeve removal type only. The vinyl lays perfectly flat on the turntable and is free of any warping. Importantly, there are no visual marks or scratches that would cause any loud constant clicks/ticks or pops during the play of this vinyl.

The Audio Quality
I have play tested the vinyl two times with a dedicated mono cartridge on two different turntables/systems at very loud volume prior to this listing. Once for you to hear the complete album. (Can be heard in the player above)
The moment that the needle hits the playing surface it is obvious to me that this has barely ever been played at all. Crystal clear and vibrant stunning top audio throughout the play of this vinyl.   I would grade the audio at Near Mint!

Please note! Allowances must be made for these early seventies pressings.  I always add this disclaimer! Please allow for very light isolated static type crackle/ticks that might be noticed in quieter places, but not consistent through out the audio. Debrit was noted on the playing surface after play. A constant clean before each play is recommended because this vinyl has been stored in a case laying dormant for over 40 years. A build up of dirt and dust in the grooves causes static ticks/ crackle. constant cleaning before each play will reduce this and enhance the audio quality.
 
The Labels
These are the original 1st issue red mono BOXED DECCA labels. Barely a handful of minor feint spider marks can possibly be seen angled to the light.  This has barely ever been played at all in my personal opinion!. There is little if no spindle wear the hole is perfectly round. This is a beauty.

The Record Sleeve
This is the original UK issue Decca record sleeve. This is straight and clean with light creasing only.  There are no edge splits or tears. The vinyl is always stored separately from the vinyl. This is how I have always stored my records.

The Cover
This is the original 1st issue MacNeil press laminated front only cover. Absolutely stunning throughout very clean and straight. No nasty creases to report. No edge rubbing. The spine has absolutely no rubbing. Rich and very vibrant colours. I would grade this cover at least excellent plus to Near mint in my opinion, a real beauty and very rare to ever find like this!
