Another from my personal collection. Purchased from new, initially only ever played to record to tape and then stored in a cvase with the vinyls seperated from the sleeves and cover for protection, this is how I have always stored my records!  Rarely seen 1st UK pressing complete! Both the vinyl's look and sound almost like new and importantly they have barely been played at all! These sound absolutely superb on my systems (no) clicks or pops (no) distortion A true rich deep bassy feel awesome seperation only found on earliest  UK pressings!! The cover is in at least excellent plus condition, stored with the vinyls and sleeves seperated!, This is how I always stored my records!!

This is the earliest 1st original pressing, the most sought after and collectable to ever find! look the early matrix for this pressing! 'A1','B2','C1','D2' ''ROLLING STONES RECORDS'' HAND ETCHED ON ALL SIDES! (only 1st pressings) Complete with original 1st issue box type cover and original 1st issue 12 postcards wich are as new.

Exile on Main St. is an album by the English rock band The Rolling Stones. Released as a double LP—and drawing on influences from rock & roll, blues, country and soul—Exile was initially greeted with lukewarm reviews, but is now widely considered the band's finest work and one of the defining masterpieces of the rock era!!!.

Exile on Main St. is an album composed of outtakes and tracks written and recorded over the period of four years, from 1968 to 1972. On those earlier songs, singer Mick Jagger said in 2003, "...After we got out of our contract with Allen Klein, we didn't want to give him [those earlier tracks]," as they were forced to do with the songs "Brown Sugar" and "Wild Horses" off Sticky Fingers. Most were recorded between 1969 and 1971 at Olympic Studios and Jagger's Stargroves country house in England during sessions for Sticky Fingers!.

By the spring of 1971, the Stones chose to abandon their home country of England to avoid the amount of taxes the British government expected the band to pay. The Stones would have to leave by April 5, or the government would have seized their assets. After much consideration the Stones chose to settle in France at Villefranche-sur-Mer, near Nice, where guitarist Keith Richards had rented Nellcôte, the "Gestapo headquarters during the Second World War," according to Richards, complete with swastikas on the floor vents. It was here that the Stones would begin work constructing their next album!.

The Vinyl's

Important note!, these are the original thick and heavier type of vinyl material only found like this on earliest pressings and produce the best audio quality in my opinion!

Both vinyls playing surfaces look awesome in my opinion. like new! Unbeleivable for the earliest ever pressing 36 years old like this!   On inspection I can hardly see a blemish at all! Any marks that could possibly be seen under a strong light would be light whypsy sleeve removal marks only!! Please note! THERE ARE (NO) NEEDLE SCRATCHES OR ANY AUDIO SOUNDING MARKS AT ALL!!, At least none that cause any clicks or pops during the audio!! !

The Audio Quality

I have played all four sides, three times prior to listing on a top system at very loud volume! Firstly I must say that every side produces the same awesome top quality audio throughout! I heard (no) clicks or pops throughout the play of this album and certainly (no) distortion what so ever, any isolated static is extreemely minimal only heard in mega quiet places or in between tracks only! The audio is absolutely cristal clear and vibrant throughout! I can honestly say that there is no other format in my opinion that will produce the awesome audio experiance that these 1st UK pressings produce! Later pressings that I have heard produce a very incipede type of feel lacking in the rich bassey feel that this produces also the rich, sharp percussion that comes across straight away as soon as the needle is put on the vinyl. I would give this album a top grade for the audio quality. I would class myself as highly critical when it comes down to the audio quality, Please look at my completed listings that I have sold of this calaber and you will see that I normally get it right! The audio is graded at the top on all frequencies! Audio graded near mint as good as it gets in my opinion!

Please note! I alays add this disclaimer! Please allow the the odd light static that may be heard in some quiet places, (not consistant throughout the audio) Please remember that this is a genuine 37 year old album that would have originally been played on a 37 year old system! Audio is graded at the top on all frequencies!! 

The Labels

 These are the original Yellow rolling Stones labels that carry the original 1st issue catalogue numbers ''COC 69100'' (LATER PRESS DO NOT FEATURE THIS AND THE VINYLS ON LATER PRESSINGS ARE MUCH FLIMSIER AND LESS ROBUST) Any spidering thast could possibly be seen angled to the light if any could be counted on one hand, This has had only minimal play, perhapes four or five plays only from new!  importantly this has not been over played!   there is little if (no) spindle ware the hole is perfectly round! There is no  nasty writing!

The record sleeves

These are the original thick heavy card type (only 1st press) in as new condition! NO SPLITS TARES  OR ANY MARKS AT ALL!!! Both sleeves feature ''Rolling Stones Records TM Distributed by Kinney Record Group Ltd'' In near perfect condition!

The Cover

This is the original 1st press box type gatefold cover printed and made by 'Sherwood packaging England''!. On initial inspection this looks awesome!! Only when closely scrutinised can light general storageware be seen in the way of light rubbing at the edges and corners any creases are very minimal and barely noticable indeed, only if scrutinised i can see a crease at spine but not noticable unless looked for! very slight flattening of the spine is noticable only if looked for! Amasizingly (no) ringware  (no) nasty names or marks! Please note! The vinyl has been stored seperately from the cover and the sleeves for protection of both the covers and vinyls for over 25 years! THIS HAS PRESERVED THIS COVER FOR ALL OR THESE YEARS! This is how i have always stored my records!!!Must be at least excellent-plus in my opinion!

There are 12 postcards all are attached, near mint, feature at the rear 'Promotone B.V. printed in the USA'!!
