Description

For auction is a truly stunning original first U.K. press of possibly the Stones’ finest moment. Exile on Main Street. Double Lp fully complete in Archive condition. Everything is there. Gatefold sleeve in excellent + condition with only minimal corner wear. Spine in perfect condition. Cardboard inner sleeves look unused.  Shorewood packaging credit on gatefold. Both records are completely unmarked and look unplayed. A1/B2/C1/D3 matrices. Artisan pressing symbol on run out sections. I was wary of play testing due to the incredibly clean and shiny appearance of the vinyl, but eventually played side one. It was like listening to a brand new record, so I truly believe the other sides are literally unplayed. Labels and spindles perfect. Just to make this wonderful set complete there are also all 12 postcards in excellent condition, and still all attached to each other. It is so rare to get this record with all or any postcards, and to have them still attached and in this condition  is even rarer.  For discerning buyers this has to be the ultimate upgrade of this classic album

Under a strong light, with magnification I still can’t see any hairlines or other issues. They still appear like new. There is very small vinyl residue on inside of second disc spindle, which actually suggests it has never been put on a turntable.  The cardboard inners are equally like new. The gatefold is what I would say Excellent +. The postcards are also at least excellent, particularly as they are still fully joined together.
