Item Description:

THE ROLLING STONES: 'Exile on Main St.' 2-LP

Rolling Stones COC 2-2900 2-record set, made in US, 1972. Album is play graded.

Records: NM-, with a few barely visible sleeve scuffs. No warps, skips, scratches, needle trails or other signs of wear. Labels are very clean, with no spindle marks.
Cover: VG+, with very light ring wear, light edge wear, bent/worn corners (one is pretty mashed, another has fairly significant wear), a little light creasing and a 1" area of significant wear on the middle of the spine (see photo).

This is a copy of The Rolling Stones' 1972 2-LP masterwork 'Exile on Main Street'. It's a glorious mess of rock, blues, country and soul done as only the Stones could do. An epic batch of extremely cool stuff, including "Rocks Off", "Tumbling Dice", "Happy" and "Shine a Light".

This copy is an original 1972 US issue, pressed by Monarch with mastering by Artisan (both logos in the dead wax). It comes with the unipak cover, the high gloss cardboard printed record sleeves (VG++ condition) and all 12 postcards (11 are intact, one has been detached). Other than the cover issues, it's a beautiful copy of a very desirable version of this classic album.

US Bidders please note: I usually ship via USPS Media mail, but if you prefer Priority or some other delivery option please contact me for a shipping quote.

A NOTE ABOUT GRADING

All records are graded using the 'Goldmine' grading system, applied conservatively. Grading is as follows:

M = MINT. Absolutely perfect in every way - never played. I rarely use this grade.

NM = NEAR MINT. A nearly perfect record. The record should show no obvious signs of wear. The LP jacket should have no creases, folds, seam splits or other signs of use. The same should be true of inserts, lyric sheets, posters, etc.

NM- = NEAR MINT MINUS. This is a grade of my own devising. The record will show signs that it was played, but rarely. Record surfaces may have very light needle trails or very light scuffs, but NO scratches or warps. The LP jacket may have very light wear, but NO cut-out holes, cut corners or saw cuts.

VG+ = VERY GOOD PLUS. The record will show some signs that it was played and otherwise handled by a previous owner(s) who took good care of it. Record surfaces may show slight signs of wear and may have slight scuffs, very light scratches or slight warps that don't affect the listening experience. The LP jacket may have some signs of wear and may be marred by a cut-out hole/cut corner/saw cut.

VG = VERY GOOD. Many of the condition issues found on a VG+ record will be more pronounced on a VG record. Some surface noise may be evident upon playing. Groove wear will start to be noticeable, as will light scratches (deep enough to be felt with a fingernail) that will affect the sound. LP jackets may have writing, tape or stickers/labels/tags. Other signs of wear may also be evident.

VG- = VERY GOOD MINUS. Similar to a VG record, but with more obvious condition issues. Surface noise from light scratches or groove wear will be present, but the record will not have skips. LP jackets will have multiple signs of wear. Not collectible, but may serve as a play copy.
