Offering is original owner’s Rolling Stones’ “Flowers”, Pittman Pressing U.S. London Label (June 1967), LL 3509, 12” LP, 33-1/3 RPM, Mono, maroon & silver label, original shrink wrapping, black vinyl record. This is the Rolling Stones’ second compilation album. The group recorded the songs at various studios dating back to 1965. Three songs had never been released – “My Girl”, “Ride On, Baby” and “Sittin’ on a Fence”, the first of which was recorded in May 1965 during the sessions for “(I Can’t Get No) Satisfaction”, and the other two were recorded in December 1965 during the first lot of Aftermath sessions. The rest of the album tracks either appeared as singles or had been omitted from the American versions of Aftermath and Between the Buttons.

The title refers to the album's cover, with flower stems underneath the portrait of each of the band members. Bassist Bill Wyman claims that Mick Jagger and Keith Richards deliberately arranged the stem of Brian Jones 's flower so that it had no leaves, as a prank. The portraits are from the British version of Aftermath. Flowers reached number three in the US during the late summer of 1967 and was certified gold. The album was purchased in June 1967 at E.J. Korvette, Pelham Manor, NY.

·        Album Cover / Jacket:

(a)  Front Cover – CONDITION: VG. The front cover has retained its original, rich colors due to the original shrink wrapping being in place for approximately 90% of the front cover. The lower right corner edge has a 2” scuffed section with the cardboard edge visible & lower edge tear of 1 ½”. (Photos nos. 3 & 4).

(b) Back Cover – CONDITION: EX. The back cover has retained its original, rich colors due to the original shrink wrapping being in place for approximately 85% of the back cover. The shrink wrapping is torn in two (2) sections close to the cover’s opening but still covers the back jacket. (Photo no. 9).

·        Vinyl – CONDITION: EX. Seldom played, with very light wear, its vinyl playing surfaces are clean and very bright. Both sides have retained a nice gloss, with no scratches. Has few, minimal hairline / non-feelable surface marks. The maroon and silver labels are EX, with no spindle wear, stains, rip marks/tears or discoloration (see photos). 

·        Record Sleeve – CONDITION: EX.  This original “London / Parrot / Coliseum” paper inner sleeve is pristine, having retained its rich B&W and orange colors with no fading, stains or discoloration. There is a 1 ½” seam split located at the mid-point of the sleeve’s bottom and a 2.5” – 3” mild crease at the upper right corner the “London Records” side (photo no. 10).
