Description

The Rolling Stones  Bridges To Babylon RCA LSP-4701 Release:  1997
RARE!  LONG OUT OF PRIINT!  FACTORY SEALED!
Bar code sticker shows manufacture or distribution date of 09/26/97.
This 1997 release was issued only briefly in the United States on vinyl.  I believe that all pressings were manufactured in the E.U., but the jacket shows Copyright for "Virgin Records America. Inc."
I have owned this copy since at least 2002 (I purchased it in Los Angeles and moved from there in 2003.)  All the shrink wrap is intact.  The corners are sharp as new.  Flawless.  It has been stored in a protective outer sleeve since I bought it so the shrink wrap is very clean and has been well-protected.
As nice as the day it left the record store.
Cover:    Original factor sealed.
Record:   Original factory sealed. ***

GUARANTEED ACCURATE GRADING
Grading Scale:  Strict and accurate Goldmine visual grading under a halogen desk lamp.  I do not use M (Mint).
NM is as glossy as a new record with no blemishes.  No visible needle marks, even in the lead in section around the outer edge of the record.  No scuffs.  No stains.  No spindle marks. No writing on the labels.  A NM vinyl grade needs no clarification. It is a very high standard.  Your final collection copy.
There are very, very few NM jackets (covers).  A NM jacket has no ring wear, no creases, no bumped corners, no writing and no defacing from cutouts (whole punch, saw mark, etc.)  Even most sealed records from past decades survive as EX+ or EX.
EX (VG+) records are very collectible, although they should command less money, because they essentially should play as well as a NM record - especially at the top end of the spectrum (VG++ or EX+) but may have a few very minor visual blemishes including a  few superficial needle scratches or superficial scuffs usually as a result of moving within the jacket.  They typically would not be noticed in normal room lighting.  They have NO marks that can be felt with a fingernail and the marks should not negatively affect the listening experience.

About Me:  I love records and I treat them as sacred.  I have collected records for over 40 years.  I am a collector first and foremost who sells duplicates or other records I am willing to let go to support my expensive hobby.  I am personally a stickler for NM records and ALL of the records that I sell are collection quality, meaning the vinyl is true Goldmine NM or VG++ (EX+)  or VG+ (EX).
I am new to selling on ebay but have 100% positive feedback on audiogon since 2005.  I have over 1000 transactions there.  Check my feedback at audiogon under member name "uncbare."
All of my records are well cared for, most have been cleaned on a VPI 17, all have poly inner sleeves while retaining the original factory sleeves and all jackets have outer poly sleeves.  I play them only on a Rega P9 turntable with a newer Dynavector cartridge.  That said, I am not the original owner of most of my records.
I do not have time to clean every record properly before shipping.  All records should be cleaned and treated for static before playing for the best possible sound.  A quality vacuum record cleaner is your best tweak.  Minute particles, dust, dirt and static electricity will cause unwanted noise and limit the dynamic fidelity of the sound.  Clean your records for the best possible sound.
I buy frequently on ebay and have learned that even reputable trustworthy sellers grade about 1 grade high.  So many sellers over grade that worthwhile records won't sell if identified as VG+ (thus, the prevalence of "EX" and the many "NM" records that are actually "EX" - or worse).  Most casual sellers have no idea how to grade.  I do.  Any EX or EX+ record will have whatever flaws described.  A true VG+ record is a great record and will satisfy collectors who primarily want to listen to their music.
Bid with confidence.  I know how to grade records and you will not get a disappointing record from me.  More likely, you will be surprised by the quality.  If you disagree with the grading, return the record for a full refund.  Return postage is on your dime.
PLEASE leave positive detailed 5-star feedback.  I will do the same.  Do not leave negative feedback before contacting me.  I am committed to a positive buying experience and will do whatever I can to fix any problems.
