The audio is truly stunning through out! Audio Graded Very Near Mint on both sides! The Vinyl looks barely played in my personal opinion! "I Wanna Be Your Man" is a Lennon–McCartney-penned song recorded and released as a single by the Rolling Stones, and then recorded by the Beatles.




The song was primarily written by Paul McCartney, and finished by Lennon and McCartney in the corner of a room while Mick Jagger and Keith Richards were talking.




Released as their second single on 1 November 1963, the Stones' version was an early hit, peaking at No. 12 on the British chart. Their rendition features Brian Jones' distinctive slide guitar and Bill Wyman's driving bass playing.





 It is one of the few Rolling Stones songs to feature only Brian Jones on backing vocals. In the US, the song was initially released as London 45-LON 9641 (with "Stoned" on the B side) without any success and was soon after re-released on 6 March 1964 as the B-side to "Not Fade Away".




According to various accounts, either the Rolling Stones' manager/producer Andrew Loog Oldham or the Rolling Stones themselves ran into Lennon and McCartney on the street as the two were returning from an awards luncheon.




Hearing that the band were in need of material for a single, Lennon and McCartney went to their session at De Lane Lea Studio and finished off the song – whose verse they had already been working on – in the corner of the room while the impressed Rolling Stones watched.




Released only as a single, the Rolling Stones' rendition did not appear on a studio album.





The song was released in the UK on the 1972 Decca compilation album Milestones and on the UK compilation album Rolled Gold: The Very Best of the Rolling Stones in 1975.




In 1989, it was issued on the US compilation album Singles Collection: The London Years. It is included on the four CD version of the 2012 GRRR! compilation.




The B-side of the second single was "Stoned", a "Green Onions" influenced instrumental composed by Nanker/Phelge, the early collective pseudonym for the group.




Additionally, it included the 'Sixth Stone' pianist Ian Stewart, making it the first released self-penned composition, with added spoken asides by Mick Jagger. Some original 1963 copies were issued with the misprinted title as "Stones", making it doubly collectable as a rarity.

A promotional video featuring the song was the first song ever performed on the Top of the Pops TV program in the UK. A performance of the song on the The Arthur Haynes Show recorded on 7 February 1964 appears as part of the bonus material on the 2012 documentary film Crossfire Hurricane.

The Vinyl
On visual inspection this is of the original heavier and thicker vinyl and more robust than later pressings which are much more flimsier! The vinyl lays perfectly flat on the turntable. This looks superb, still retaining its original glossy sheen from new. Only in strong light, surface marks/scuffs can possibly be seen, manly caused by the vinyl been slid in and out of its sleeve.  Importantly, (no) needle scratches that would cause any loud constant clicks or pops very rare to find on a Stones vinyl after 53 years!!

TheAudio
I have played this vinyl prior to listing on a top system at very loud volume, importantly using a dedicated mono cartridge! The audio is absolutely superbe cristal clear and vibrant throughout! Mega clear and vibrant Mono audio on all frequencies!. There were no distortion, no, loud contant clicks pops or of course any jumps. Truly awesome and very rare for a 1st pressing.(NO) Signs of groovware at all! Please allow for very light static/crackle only noticed at the intros and outros in my opinion. This audio is graded very near Mint in my opinion!

PLEASE NOTE! I always add this disclaimer! I have played this album prior to listing as usual and have given my honest opinion on the audio quality. Please remember this is a 52 years old original vinyl (not a reissue) Please allow for the odd static (not) consistant through out the audio, perhapes only heard at intros or quieter places outros etc!,, This would have been originally played on a system that is 52 years old!
All indications i.e. that this vinyl has (not) been overplayed and in fact hardly played are the audio quality superbe on all frequencies and the fact there are barely handful of spider marks only!
 
The labels
This features the Un boxed Decca labels. These are superbe very light rubbing/markings that are only really noticed if looked for in my opinion, with very little spidering (I can barely see just a handful) , little if (no) spindle ware! This vinyl has hardly been played at all at least just a minimal amount of times in my personal opinion!

The Record Cover Sleeve
This is the original 1st Issued orange/white Decca paper sleeve. Correct for this issue. Light creasing/fading/yellowing with age only. Becoming fragile with age. The original. Note, The vinyl is now always stored separate from the sleeve.
