Description

The ROLLING STONES " If You Can't Rock Me/Get Off My Cloud, Brown Sugar, Jumping Jack Flash, Hot Stuff "   WHITE LABEL PROMO w/ Andy Warhol picture sleeve NEVER SOLD IN STORES 5-songs (4 tracks) from 1977 EP PR 287 1977 BLACK VINYL 7" EP by the greatest rock & roll band in the world. This was NEVER SOLD IN STORES.  It was only available as an item sent to radio stations, select record stores, and the rare rock critic.   This copy is in EX/EX+ condition at least, vinyl-wise.  Almost 40 years old, and the only marks on the vinyl itself appear to be light bagrash, and only a tiny bit on the outer edge, where you place the stylus.  Bagrash occurs when vinyl is pulled from its sleeve, or slides around inside its sleeve.  It doesn't affect play and is usually just a superficial surface scuff.  The owner said he has had it in his possession since 1978, & has never played it!  Judging by vinyl, I believe him. People dream of finding this in such great shape!   This picture sleeve cover is in VG condition.  Again, at almost 40 years old, this is quite a find.  A five song EP (with one of the tracks a two-song medley) recorded at the El Mocambo & sent to radio stations in 1977.  It has a famous cover, shot by Andy Warhol.  The rear cover plainly states that it is a "PROMOTIONAL COPY" and is "NOT FOR SALE".  Basic info, titles, etc. in black on white.  Now for the details. There is some very light browning around a couple spots on the edges (see the photos), but they're not terribly obvious.  And most 40 year old pure white pieces of paper are going to yellow over time.  They could be slight water stains of some sort, but again, they're quite light and minor.  Some edgewear, mostly on the top, where it's been handled as folks finger through a record storage crate.  There is light ringwear, and a seam split (guess where) on the bottom (of course!) a little over an inch. The number "15" is written inside the sleeve in writing that covers about 1/8 of an inch! A tiny #15 for who knows what reason! All in all, as you should be able to see in the photos, this is a fine copy of a collectible. The vinyl itself is quite playable.  A WHITE LABEL PROMO with hardly a mark.   UNPLAYED VINYL with mild wear to the cover
(SEE THE PHOTOS)   Beautiful BLUE VINYL 7" record. I'm holding it up in the air to display for the camera. It's untouched.   Please check our other auctions for possibly related items! I'm trying to whittle down my collection & it's heavy with ROLLING STONES vinyl.  Keep checking in!
