Very early pressing of the Stones R&B album:
* LABEL: DECCA LK 4661 Mono (Unboxed Decca)
* ISSUED: 1965
* MATRIX Nos: XARL – 6609-1A and XARL-6620-2A
* Red label ‘grooved’
* ‘Rolling Stones’name printed at bottom of label.
* ‘Made in England’ text only at top of label.
* Flipback sleeve by James Upton Ltd.
* Uncensored text sleeve with “This is the Stones new disc within. Cast deep in your pockets for loot to buy this disc of groovies and fancy words. If you don’t have bread, see that blind man, knock him on the head, steal his wallet……” etc.

* The record I’d rate as near excellent. Spindle marks show it has been played. Couple of light marks don’t affect play. I have listened to it (unlike some ‘visual only’ sellers!) and it plays perfect. No hiss or pops. Thoroughly cleaned on my vinyl machine it plays very well and the music cuts through fine. Very quiet between tracks.

* The sleeve has a few laminate creases, as most do. The back has slight age-wear. There’s no rips, splits or writing. I’ve shown lots of photos.

This Rolling Stones second album, recorded in 1964 with it’s David Bailey cover photo and notes by Andrew Loog Oldman is a landmark R&B album….essential in all collections!

Brian Jones / Mick Jagger / Keith Richards / Bill Wyman / Charlie Watts.
Plus: Ian Stewart piano on “Down the Road Apiece” and Jack Nitzsche plays piano some of the songs recorded in Los Angeles
