Description
VINYL: NEAR MINT (NM)
The vinyl is in fantastic condition with beautiful gloss and exceptionally clean playing surfaces. It has been carefully cleaned using a record-cleaning machine.
Selected portions were play-tested after cleaning and played beautifully — clean and quiet, with no crackling or obvious signs of groove wear noted. The entire LP was not played from beginning to end.
MATRIX / RUNOUT
Side 1: ARL-6691-1A
Side 2: ARL-6692-1A
There are no additional markings in the runout areas.
The 1A / 1A matrix combination is significant because it indicates very early lacquer cuts from the album's original 1965 production period. These are the type of early matrices collectors look for when identifying original-era copies rather than later recuts.
For listeners as well as collectors, the matrix information is particularly useful because it identifies the actual mastering/cutting lineage of the vinyl, not simply the album title or jacket. Early cuts such as this are sought by collectors interested in hearing the record through mastering associated with its original release period.
Close-up photographs of both runouts are included so the buyer can verify the matrices.
COVER
Original London Records LL 3420 mono jacket.
The jacket shows age/storage wear and has a significant seam split, clearly shown in the photographs. The split has been left as found rather than repaired or glued.
Please examine the photographs carefully for the exact condition of the jacket, labels and vinyl.
The cover damage does not reflect the condition of the record itself, which is exceptionally clean.
A particularly attractive playing copy with Near Mint vinyl and desirable ARL-6691-1A / ARL-6692-1A early matrices, paired with an original jacket that does show substantial seam wear. Does not include original sleeve. Now in a clear sleeve.
