THE ROLLING STONES  "Out Of Our Heads" 1965 original  London ffrr stereo PS-429, the LP pressed in UK for export to the USA. This was done to rush-release the next Stones album, which contains "Satisfaction", their first US #1. Subsequent pressings were all done in the USA. 4th US release with the original shrinkwrap, loose but present. Original British-made London FFRR poly-lined inner sleeve.

This pressing of the LP is very scarce, but the cover too is different than any other US pressing in that it does NOT say 'ELECTRONICALLY RE-PROCESSED' on the cover. The cover is still in the original shrinkwrap which is loose but has protected the cover for decades, leaving it gorgeous, bright and clean. No splits, no writing, no creases. The label is bright and clean with only a minor couple of small spindle trails right at the center hole. Playing surfaces have basically full gloss. This has not been played nor handled much. Perhaps the reason being that unfortunately there is a slight warp in one area that I didn't see until we played it. It did not affect playability on my Audio Technica at about 1-1/2 gram, and in fact it plays great and sounds utterly amazing. I suppose 50 years ago if it was warped right out of the box that might explain why it appears to have been played very little if at all. Our old Garrard and Voice Of Music turntables at the time wouldn't have liked it much... But here in 2018 it plays fine and sounds absolutely great. In fact, these days the "warp-correcting" device we saw demonstrated at the Austin Record Show would most likely take this particular type of smooth warp out completely. Anyway, it is what it is!
