The Rolling Stones : Sticky Fingers A1 / B1 + Poster Insert
This first pressing from Holland plays with stunning quality for the vast majority and comes complete with a very clean cover and a perfect insert.

Visual grading
This is a visually stunning vinyl and retains a very impressive glossy sheen. At first glance it looks as new! On closer inspection I can see only one obvious hairline and a faint fingerprint type mark on S1 and S2 is near perfect apart from a couple of very faint hairlines and a couple of tiny 'specks'. These have no affect on the stunning audio whatsoever. There is not very much spindle wear either so I would say this record has not been played very much at all .
Play grading
'Brown Sugar' plays with great power and depth from the first note and there is no obvious interference of any kind, I heard a couple of light static sounds only. This 'rocks out' in fine style with no clicks or pops and provides a stunning start to S1. There are a couple of light clicks on the 'Sway' intro and as it progresses you can also hear some background static here and there. I wouldn't say it intrudes on the music as it is very much in the background and it is a louder track of course. The intro on the classic 'Wild Horses' plays with superb clarity, the audio is stunning. There are only a minimal number of very quiet dust ticks which is very impressive when you consider how quiet this track is and this quality continues throughout. This is a super clean version the likes of which you rarely hear and it is Near Mint without doubt. 'Can't You Hear Me Knocking' plays with wonderful depth and clarity throughout and again there are no clicks or pops. The strong bass sound on this track is incredible! There is nothing that detracts from the audio here. The long instrumental section in particular plays with stunning precision with only a very small number of mega light static sounds. This track easily grades as Near Mint in my opinion. 'You Gotta Move' has just one faint click on the intro and then plays with superb quality for the remainder with no interference at all.
S2 plays to the same standard. The depth on 'Bitch' is superb and again such a strong bass background. There was not one iota of interference here and this grades as Mint- the clarity is of the highest calibre. The fade out is a classic example of this and has no 'background'. 'I've Got The Blues' has barely any static on the intro and is a superb listen. For such a quiet opening to play as clearly as this on a first pressing is a rarity. The remainder plays with just one very faint click and a touch of static on the organ section. Apart from that is plays with near perfect precision. The intro on 'Sister Morphine' has to be heard to be believed! So quiet and yet it grades as Mint the clarity could not be any better. There is one faint 'tick' about one minute in but this is without doubt one of the 'cleanest' versions I have heard in a long time. As it build the audio quality does not diminish and it still plays 'as new'. The fade out is just sublime, what a stunning version! 'Dead Flowers' plays to exactly the same standard with no sign of any interference. Audio does not get better than this! 'Moonlight Mile' ends the album with excellent quality. There is just a minimal amount of distortion on the top end here and there but it isn't intrusive. The very quiet end section plays very clearly with just faint 'tick' only and a little distortion right at the end.
The Cover
The iconic cover is in excellent condition and the only area of wear really is one small 'nick' on the right hand edge. Apart from that the edges are in superb shape and the spine is 'as new' and the area around the zip and the top of the buckle for once do not have any tears/splits. A rarity! Just a tiny bit of creasing near the top. The rest of the front cover is very clean with no marking. The back cover is in exceptional condition with only a minor amount of scratching near the top no doubt caused by another zip when it was in the record shop! This is a great example of an original first press 'Andy Warhol' cover.
Inner sleeve & Poster insert
The LP is housed in a plain white die-cut inner sleeve that has no splits or tears and only mild creasing. The insert could not be any cleaner and is in perfect condition.
The labels
The labels are mega with no marking or writing and only a small amount of spindle wear.
Play tested on my Pro-Ject Essential III Turntable // B & W 684 Speakers
This record has been professionally cleaned on a Pro-Ject VC-S machine
