ROLLING STONES
STICKY FINGERS
ORIGINAL MASTER RECORDING
by MOBILE FIDELITY SOUND LAB
Mobile Fidelity Sound Lab/Atlantic & EMI Records MFSL 1-060
1981 US limited edition Mobile Fidelity Sound Lab audiophile issue Original Master Recording of the 1971 LP,
pressed in Japan on High Definition Vinyl. The sleeve utilizes the graphics of the original release
and replicates the original real zipper with an embossed gold metallic "zipper."
Insert has photo of the Rolling Stones backed with Licks logo and credits on gloss stock.
Signed by Craig Braun, designer of the album cover.
Art director/designer Craig Braun, of Craig Braun, Inc. was responsible for the design of the 1971 Rolling Stones
Sticky Fingers album cover featuring Andy Warhol's concept of a working zipper inset into the front graphic.
It included the tongue and lips logo which Craig translated into an exclusive line of "LICKS" jewelry and promo items.
The Sticky Fingers album not only won a Grammy nomination, but in 2004 VH-1 awarded it the title
"Greatest Album Cover Of All Time."
Braun later formed the partnership of Wilkes & Braun in the 1970s with the late Tom Wilkes
and produced the now famous "Red" and "Blue" covers for the Beatles released in 1973, the outrageous
school desk package for Alice Cooper's "School's Out" released in 1972 with paper panties around the record,
and the 1973 Grammy Award winning Tommy: The Rock Opera boxed set for the Who.
This signed LP is a design sample from Craig's personal collection
and is signed in red on the back of the jacket near the logo
and on the insert next to the design credit.
The sleeve is excellent, minor edge wear and the disc is mint,
no spindle marks, was kept as a sample.
