Mick Jagger (vocals); Keith Richards, Mick Taylor (guitar, background vocals); Bill Wyman (bass); Charlie Watts (drums).Additional personnel: Ry Cooder (slide guitar); Paul Buckmaster (strings); Bobby Keys (saxophone); Jim Price (trumpet); Nicky Hopkins, Ian Stewart, Jim Dickinson, Jack Nitzche (piano); Billy Preston (organ); Rocky Dijon (congas); Jimmy Miller (percussion).Engineers include: Andy Johns, Jimmy Johnson, Glyn Johns.Recorded at Muscle Shoals Sound Studio, Muscle Shoals, Alabama and Olympic Studios, London, England. Sounding subdued, or at least more wary than most Stones albums, Sticky Fingers betrayed the difficulties the band members were enduring. From Mick's breakup with the emotionally troubled Marianne Faithfull, to Keith's concern about his newborn son Marlon, the band found themselves re-evaluating their lives, and this depth of emotion made its way into the album. Be it in the terrifyingly spare "Sister Morphine" and "Moonlight Mile," or the near-dangerous electrified "Can't You Hear Me Knocking," the songs on this album are anything but innocent. The lineup on this album solidified with Mick Taylor in place as a second guitarist. Recorded partially in the legendary Muscle Shoals studio in Alabama, the Stones were flirting with the blues, but adding a Southern soul flavor. Much of Sticky Fingers is this tasteful mixture of blues and soul. Added to the brew are the spicy horn arrangements of saxophonist Bobby Keys and trumpet player Jim Price. The use of horns in the Stones' repertoire seemed inevitable--when they kick in during "Brown Sugar" and "Bitch," it's as if Keith's guitar is rebirthed in brass. Sticky Fingers proved that the endless summer of the 1960s was over, but that the Stones would rock just as hard in the following decade.

I add new listings most days..........please take a look

All items carefully graded audio-visually, and are played on a high quality system.

I usually begin items at a low price to generate interest and bidding.....................

Please feel able to bid with confidence , as a collector myself I realize the requirements in the gradings of sleeves and discs , and how important it is to recieve items in the condition as advertised in listings ........I grade the discs (using The UK Record Collector Grading System) beneath a light , to be sure of condition..................

I do not believe it is necessary to use the eBay buzzwords such as 'Stunning!! Rare!! Awsome!!, padded out with grossly long winded descriptions , many of the 'experts' who use this method of selling also add technical information , which is totally unfounded and incorrect to actual facts , and would be laughable , but for the fact that it is misleading........ I take time and care to grade items correctly and only list quality records, with concise and accurate grading descriptions......................

I have been a lifelong music fan , my first concert visit was in 1957 (Birmingham Town Hall Skiffle Contest!) and have bought records of all the great music since 1959 , and had the privelege of seeing most of the great artists live too (I saw The Beatles twice........and Segovia!)

I began selling professionally in 1976 , and have a wide knowledge of the items I sell , having bought copies of my own at the time of issue , always interested in the label and disc variations. If you have any queries , I will do my best to help.

Please check my feedback ratings , you will see that a large amount (over 2200) of my feedbacks are from repeat customers (many thanks).........and in the event of genuine complaints I will remedy the situation as soon as possible......
