The ROLLING STONES - STICKY FINGERS
Lovely condition 1971 UK 1st press Stones classic with truly impressive STEREO sound quality throughout
Year/Label : 1971 UK ROLLING STONES Label number : COC 59100 Matrix numbers : COC-59100-A3, COC 59100 B3 (with "T.M.L. ROLLING STONES RECORDS" etched into both run-off's) Stampers : D 1 / A 1Very good plus (VG+) condition vinyl - completely flat, nicely weighty and retaining an impressive jet black lacquered sheen in normal daylight. Closer inspection under a bright light reveals a number of wispy hairlines on each side (slightly more prevalent on side 2) along with paper scuffs and a couple of small and slighly more noticeable scuff lines. All of these blemishes are relatively minor, non-feelable, and appear to be superficial though there is some very, very light clicking on I Got The Blues and Sister Morphine though you will need to listen hard to detect this clicking apart from x4 slightly more noticeable (but still mild) clicks on Sister Morphine. The labels are also in very good plus (VG+) condition with just a couple of minor and very light circular storage marks on each along with a few very faint spindle trails adjacent to the centre hole on each label. Note the absence of the "A Promotone N.V. RECORD" text on either label - synonymous with very 1st UK pressings. An excellent (EX) condition outer sleeve with fully working zip, firm unscuffed edges (apart from about 1cm of mild scuffing at et either end of the spine next to the spine corners), near perfectly defined right angled corners with minimal rubbing, and a firm spine with all spine text perfectly intact. There is the very occasional tiny edge "nick", and just the occasional very light indentation dot on each of the front and reverse sides which are only noticeable when the sleeve is tilted to a certain angle in a very good light (see photos). The larger flap immediately above the zip remains perfect and there is a small and insignificant crease on the small very top flap (immediately above the larger flap) but I am being really picky here! Do take a close look at my photos where I think you will agree that the condition of this sleeve fully merits "excellent"! The original and all important insert with credits on one side and a band photo on the other is present and remains in virtually unused condition - just a very, very light 4cm horizontal crinkle towards the top left corner, otherwise perfect. Overall excellent minus (EX-) stereo sound quality with no sticks, skips, repeats or distortion. In fact side 1 is hard to fault - barely a click or any background crackle at all with wonderful tone and crystal clear stereo sound quality throughout. And much of side 2 is the same with the exception of "I Got The Blues" and "Sister Morphine" where (as already mentioned above) there exists some very, very light rotational background clicking on each (including x4 slightly more noticeable clicks, but stilll mild, on Sister Morphine) - nothing especially intrusive (you will need to listen hard to notice it) but sufficient for me to grade side 1 as a strong excellent and side 2 as very good plus in terms of audio quality. Certainly nothing here to prevent every track remaining an excellent listen, with side 1 a real highlight especially. Comes with plain white inner sleeve - excellent (EX) condition with "PATENT NO...." and "MADE IN ENGLAND" horizontal text - no splits, no edge fraying, no unwanted writing, barely any age discolouration, and just some mild creasing towards the right edge. Note that I always ship the vinyl in a new plain white inner sleeve in order to protect the original. A very nice condition copy of this 1971 UK very 1st press Stones classic making for an overall great listen.

Note that I always insert the vinyl into a new plain white poly-lined inner sleeve in order to protect the original during postage, and separate this from the outer sleeve to prevent seam splits. I use thick cardboard stiffeners and take great care in my packaging to ensure as far as possible that these precious records reach their destination in exactly the same condition as when they leave me.
