ROLLING STONES Sympathy For Devil 1973 HOLLAND only 45
The original first pressing of the rare original 7 inch single "Sympathy for the devil/Prodigal son" by the ROLLING STONES as released in Holland ONLY on Decca 6103066 in 1973.
It was released here because the song proved to be very popular with listeners of a popular Dutch radio station and the Decca record company decided to try and cash in on the popularity of the song but the single sold badly. It comes in the original picture sleeve.
In 1973 the Rolling Stones were not signed to Decca anymore but they released records on their own label. I guess the Stones were not amused that Decca was still releasing singles from their 1969 Decca period.
The picture sleeve is VG (price sticker damage ~ see picture) and the record is in VG+ condition.
