RARE!! LP. Original 1969 UK. Octagonal. MONO!!
Very earliest FIRST PRESSING!! MONO!!!!!
Up for auction is this original ‘open’ red DECCA labelled Rolling Stones Rare MONO album in it’s RARE and original Octagonal cover.
COVER: EX. Completely intact. Not torn at its gatefold spine as most normally are. No writing. No stains. No tears or unsightly creases. Virtually free of laminate wrinkle. If I need be critical, then I will mention that a small area on the spine is missing a tiny portion of the laminate, which has also removed a very small portion of text, other than this single fault. The cover is as nice as you might find anywhere. Difficult to find better.
VINYL: Still retains its just pressed glossy sheen and is perfectly flat with no warps, skips or jumps. Track two and four of side two display a light stylus touch to each. These two small anomalies do not affect the very strong MONO playback in any way. Beautiful full original shiny gloss Graded; a very strong EX+.
LABELS: EX. These are lovely and clean, full rich RED colour displayed on original ‘open’ DECCA labels. Only fault here has been a small label removal from each side which has left a small area of residue. Probably has been a name label. Otherwise, lovely.
MATRIX NUMBERS: SIDE ONE XARL 9067 P 1A
SIDE TWO: XARL 9068 P 1A
STAMPERS: SIDE ONE: 1 i (as letter i)
SIDE TWO: 1 C - making this one of the very earliest FIRST pressings.
INNER SLEEVE: Original octagonal red/white Decca. Just a couple of very minor creases, otherwise Excellent. No writing. No rips. No stains.
AUDIO: As you would expect from vinyl this good. Beautiful thumping MONO sounds playback. One of my favourite albums and a joy to listen to yet again. Brilliant!!!! Just a couple of moments of very light static if I really must be critical, but that’s it.
To sum up. This album is definitely a MUST HAVE ALBUM of exceptionally good quality, and would certainly be a great addition to any existing collection. The sounds are superb and truly classic. This rare album does not surface very often, so don’t miss out. Grab yourself a large slice of great musical history - and enjoy!!
