"We can’t guarantee each record will be perfect, but we will get it as good as it can be when it is sent. These records can be up to 50 years old with unknown storage and handling but you can be assured that we can do wonders in saving old vinyl so that it can be enjoyed not endured!"
PLEASE NOTE: Records are visually inspected and then played in order to come up with a meaningful evaluation. Every mark, mar, imperfection, scratch and countless other potential anomalies are not considered individually and certainly not singled out unless they are heard in the play process, but rather lumped together in things such as “occasional light paper scratches” for example. If I can’t hear it on the playback, I obviously won’t comment on it. I use a Music Hall 9.1, a Music Hall 5.1 or an AR “The Turntable” with either a Goldring Eroica MC, or Goldring 2200 MM or a Denon A100 MC cartridge depending on the turntable. So please do not assume, as occasionally I get comments, that I should have noted something in the listing when you might hear and I don’. I think the feedback speaks for itself and after selling close to 6,000 records since 1999, I will do my best to deliver to you the best product I can. I can’t guarantee that with your cartridge, turntable and set-up you won’t hear something I don’t but I can guarantee that I won’t send anything that is intentionally below my high standards.'
ROLLING STONES – Voodoo Lounge 2 disc (Virgin, pressed in the UK, 1994) VERY RARE!
This is a real find and RARE since these came out in the mid ‘90s and not many were pressed. The cover is excellent. It is very shiny with no scuffing. It is that thin European cardboard and there is a thumb crease on the upper back cover but it not a serious flaw. Of course you can see it but the cardboard is not broken down or ripped. There are no rips, tears or splits but there is a little shelf wear on the bottom. The cover faces are really super. The vinyl is very, very nice but it is not perfect. It doesn’t have any real gouges or anything approaching a deep scratch but there are some patches which look like paper swirls. I couldn’t really hear any of these but if you look at the disc under a strong light, you will see these very, very light swirls.
This is hard-to-find and the condition of the records and cover is excellent. I have no qualms in recommending this but it is not perfect. I doubt you’d have much of a problem if you just played the disc but under a strong light you will see these swirls. My approach is that most records look bad under a strong light but at least I can separate the trashed discs much easier than if I tried to grade them under normal lighting conditions. One has to train the eyes to differentiate between vinyl imperfections which are inherent in almost all discs which aren’t issues and disc problems that will affect play noticeably. I’d like to think I can do that more often than not! AND LOOK AT MY FEEDBACK. I guess people appreciate my honesty and accurate assessments!
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! What impressed me so much was that I always hated this album on CD since it sounded like a gritty CD but with these UK pressing, I really liked it!
