The increasing demand for and relative rarity of this classic Stones LP is reflected in the 2 and a half times increase in its value since 2006. Copies which play really well are hard to come by given the amount of play most copies have understandably experienced in the last 40 years. So its good to be able to list for sale a nice copy of the rarer MONO version of this LP.

This copy has its original oily sheen to the heavy weight vinyl with little or no greying of the grooves that comes from excessive play. The playing surfaces which look pristine in daylight have a number of whsipey hairline-type marks when viewed under bright light but visually this still grades close to EX, say VG++. The matrix numbers in the deadwax are XARL-8476-4a and XARL-8477-3A. The audio on this version is close to perfect with no gross imperfections auch as clicks, pops, jumps or sticks and only very occasional and virutally undetectable static crackle but really nothing which is in anyway very noticeable through the beautiful mono mixes. Overall this grades EX+ for sound quality although I know this is always a subjective assessment. Nevertheless I think that the buyer will be very pleased with this aspect of this LP.

The labels are free of writing, sticker damage and signs of excessive wear with only lightish signs round the spindle holes. The gatefold cover is free of creases and major wear with no tears, sticker damage or serious wear but there is mior opening wear., slight corner wear and a slight ding bottom left so overall these elements reduce the grade from excellent which it looked to be on cursory inspection to VG+.

NEAR MINT: The record appears to be in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and other inserts are perfect. For MINT grading see above

EXCELLENT: The item has been played and may have some light surface marks but there is very little, if any, lessening in sound quality. Cover and contents have slight wear.

VERY GOOD: The record has been played quite alot but displays no major deterioration in sound quality despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Cover and contents show some wear.

GOOD:The record has been played many times and the sound quality has deteriorated noticeably. The cover and contents are often damaged.

I use EX++,EX+,VG++,VG+ as subsidiary gradings. Unless the record is extremely rare I do not sell items which are less than VG in condition.
