The last Stones studio album of the '60s finds the band, for perhaps the first time, accurately reflecting the spirit of its age. The erstwhile bad boy outsiders of rock now found themselves firmly in the center of the social and political post-'68 whirlwind, and faced up to the challenge magnificently. The band's confident climb to its artistic peak was begun by Beggars Banquet, but Let It Bleed is a quantum leap even from that musical milestone. The album's opener, "Gimme Shelter," with its insinuating guitar introduction, leads us decisively out of Flower Power and into a world where rape and murder are "just a shot away," and the Devil of Banquet is very much alive and taking names. There's a nod to seminal influence Robert Johnson, whose "Love in Vain" is a mandolin-accompanied highlight. The climax arrives in the form of "You Can't Always Get What You Want," bearing references to the fallout of the Swinging London era.This album finds the Stones brimming with musical confidence and artistic inspiration.

Condition of Vinyl:- Both sides of the disc have very light use only ............ No marks , there is just one solitary , tiny surface rub on track five ............. other than this , no wear at all ............... The disc plays through with really super sound quality : Graded in at least EXCELLENT / EXCELLENT+ condition. Most would graded higher.

Label Condition:- Lovely crisp , clean labels ........ Minor trace of spindle use only : Graded in EXCELLENT+ condition.

Condition of Sleeve:-

Front: The front laminate has no wear at all , no creasing ......... beautifully bright , crisp and clean ............no edge / spine wear .........

Rear: No wear at all , beautifully clean and bright

The sleeve is Graded in EXCELLENT+ / MINT minus condition.

The Poster has no wear at all : MINT condition.

The Info Liner Sleeve has light wear .......... no splits or damage : aside from some creasing , the Liner Sleeve is in EXCELLENT condition.

Please feel able to bid with confidence , as a collector myself I realize the requirements in the gradings of sleeves and discs , and how important it is to recieve items in the condition as advertised in listings ........I grade the discs (using The UK Record Collector Grading System) beneath a light , to be sure of condition..................

I do not believe it is necessary to use the eBay buzzwords such as 'Stunning!! Rare!! Awsome!!, padded out with grossly long winded descriptions , many of the 'experts' who use this method of selling also add technical information , which is totally unfounded and incorrect to actual facts , and would be laughable , but for the fact that it is misleading........ I take time and care to grade items correctly and only list quality records, with concise and accurate grading descriptions......................

I have been a lifelong music fan , my first concert visit was in 1957 (Birmingham Town Hall Skiffle Contest!) and have bought records of all the great music since 1959 , and had the privelege of seeing most of the great artists live too (I saw The Beatles twice........and Segovia!)
