KUKUMBE / KILIMANGIARO ... 7-inch, 45 rpm OST TV single. Music by ROMOLO GRANO vocals by EDDA DELL'ORSO arrangements by GIANNI ODDI. Original Italian pressing on the RICORDI label (SRL 10781), from 1975. Desirable and absolutely killer lounge funk from the super-obscure RAI television series, Le Montagne Della Luce. Maybe the last copy you will see and for sure, one of our favourite Italian records of all time ;) Super-heavy rare groove with that quintessential Italian sound. The outstanding KUKUMBE theme is arguably the funkiest of all recorded music featuring the spellbinding voice of Edda Dell'Orso. This is fender rhodes groove with a bassline to die for. Incredible rhythm hooks with thunderous drums / jazz horns / latin congas / shakers / wordless scat and looped breaks midway. Great for DJs. Comped on UP! The Second, for the Schema label. The spaced-out KILIMANGIARO side is also suberb. Mellow, stoned and cinematic atmospheres with dreamy scat harmony / cosmic electronics and jazzy woodwind motifs. Next level arrangements by Gianni Oddi of Style Library / Dreamin' single infamy. Rare OST 45!!! 

Our record grading: SEALED / M- / VG++ / VG+ / VG  

Vinyl is closer to shiny M- condition overall with a few hairlines from sleeve removal. Faded, old pressing residue band mark across a small section of "Kukumbe" side. Light surface noises / soft pops / ticks to the intro of the gentle "Kilimangiaro" side. Item taken from an unplayed deadstock of records and played once for the recording of the soundclip. Some label wear to big hole area of "Kilimangiaro' side. The picture sleeve is in strong VG++ condition overall with some wear / creasing and a couple of small tears to middle of top open side (front sleeve only) between the 'm' and 'n' of Kilimangiaro wording. A little corner wear. Ring creasing / ring dirt marks from storage. Rare OST 45!!!
