Japan's At Home Sound have come correct again here with another golden nugget of modern soul. It comes from Root Soul with a guest spot from Erik Rico and immediately gets you on your toes. The noodling bass intertwines with big horn sections and tight as you like drums. The smooth flowing vocals will carry all your cares away in fine style. The flip side offers a 45 version of "Always" that is more slow going, horizontal and sensual thanks to the way the guitars slide and sax lines linger. Lovely stuff.
