These three consecutively numbered 12-inch 33 rpm LP's (Angel Records #'s ANG.35465, 35466 and 35467) make up the complete set of Rossini's "Il Barbiere di Siviglia" (The Barber of Seville) played by the Philharmonia Orchestra and Chorus conducted by Alceo Galliera. The singers listed on the covers are Maria Meneghini Callas, Tito Gobbi, Luigi Alva, Nicola Zaccaria and Fritz Ollendorff. They are mono and undated.
Visually, the records look to be in about VG+ or better condition, still beautifully shiny, and very little visible surface wear. I didn't play them all, but I randomly selected Sides 1 and 2 to play test, with mixed results. Side Two played through fine with no skips or jumps, and just very light levels of background noise. For the most part, Side One played through similarly, but with a couple of unexpected sharp clicks or jumps. Because of variations in tracking ability, filtering technology and needle weights, I can offer no guarantees as to how well they will play on your equipment.
The covers are in used and worn condition, with seam splits started at a couple of the open corners, and some typical light surface and edge wear. And they have matching Angel Records anti-static inner sleeves.
