This record is in excellent- condition. It has just a couple of incredibly faint spindle marks visible on the labels and no pen marks, scuffs or any other damage such as stains or fading. Overall the labels are clean, bright and in really nice condition.
As for the vinyl itself both sides are very clean with a gorgeous lustre and show little in normal light. It has a few faint signs of use showing in places, but these are incredibly minor and not at all obvious. They show softly when angled or when examined under bright light. Overall the record is nice and clean visually.
I play tested the record and it played well overall but has a couple of things to mention. Firstly it lays perfectly flat on the deck and there is little to no movement in the record arm upon playing. The sound produced has no skips or sticks. There was also no prolonged issues with tics, but a small and barely visible thin line at the very start of side 2 causes one loud tic, followed by 2 lighter ones. These do sound as they occur at the very start of the track, but luckily are brief. Around 10-15 seconds after these three tics there is about 5 or 6 lighter ones, that again sound, but pass quickly. Other than this opening period of side 2 there are no other issues with tics, but there is some light surface noise in the quieter parts and the occasional splutter and light noise. Any audio with any volume is of course loud, clear and defined, but the much quieter sections have a little light spluttering in places.
The description above is of course me being thorough and trying to describe as accurately as I can a 55+ year old classical lp. It was an enjoyable listen throughout with no really major issues but with the few tics at the start of side 2, and light general splutters in some of the much quieter parts. It is graded at EX- due to these light audio imperfections, despite the visual appearance of the lp warranting a higher grade.
It includes its original poly-lined 'Use Emitex' inner which is in excellent- condition. This has no splits, tears or pen marks but has light signs of age and some discolouring. The original will of course be included but the record will be sent in a new plain white replacement to ensure it remains clean and ready to play.
The record will be packaged in between cardboard stiffeners and bubble wrapped thoroughly when dispatched. It will also be sent in a brand new protective plastic sleeve, and within 24hrs of receiving payment to try to ensure a swift delivery.
