Out-of-print and very RARE -- Simply Vinyl Limited Edition 180 gram LP pressing -- ROXY MUSIC - Avalon - 1982 Virgin EG Records Ltd. / 2001 Simply Vinyl UK - SVLP 311. ***Please be aware of the bootleg edition of this LP -- I saw a couple that sold recently. Originals like the one I am selling have the rectangular sticker on the front (not the smaller, circular sticker). This edition was pressed in the UK in the early 2000s, and sold out rather quickly. Many consider this Simply Vinyl LP edition to be the best ever pressed of this particular album. Avalon is certainly one of Roxy Music's most appealing albums, and has been mentioned frequently on numerous lists containing the most important albums of the rock and modern music era. Avalon is almost like a Bryan Ferry solo album in some respects, however, original Roxy members, Andy Mackay and Phil Manzanera do make significant contributions on this lush set of extremely well-recorded songs. Tracks include, "More Than This," "The Space Between," "Avalon," "India," "While My Heart is Still Beating," "The Main Thing," "Take a Chance With Me," "To Turn You On," "True to Life" and "Tara." Vinyl is Near Mint (my highest grade for a played LP) ...played no more than three times ...sonics are superb! Jacket/cover is also Near Mint ...like new, with no faults. Includes lyric insert (please see all photos). LP contained in original high quality protective inner sleeve. Enclosed in the original Simply Vinyl heavy plastic outer envelope/sleeve with Simply Vinyl rectangular sticker (front) and round seal (back) still 100% intact (see photos).
