ROXY MUSIC - ROXY MUSIC LP/VINYL - NICE CONDITION RARE FIRST PRESS A-1 B-1
A nice example of a first pressing of first Roxy Music LP, Roxy Music.
Issued on Island in the UK in 1972, the catalogue number is ILPS 9200. Matrix numbers read A-1 and B-1.
In EX/EX condition. The outer sleeve is in EX+ condition, just very slight wear on edge where vinyl goes in, a slight discolourement on the plain brown card on the inside of opening. Has a strong spine in lovely condition. It seems the gatefold cover has hardly ever been opened due to the plastic laminated coating making a crinkling sound as you open it. There is a 5cm seam split on the top edge of the back of the gatefold sleeve - can be seen on last picture. The playing surface of the vinyl record is in excellent condition with just some light wear and has been well looked after. There are a few light spindle marks on the centre labels which shows it has been played at some point. The labels have the pink rim around the edge. Comes in the original blue Island inner sleeve.
Item will be sent well packaged and the record will be placed at the side of the original picture sleeve, both into a poly sleeve and into a vinyl mailer with a stiffener. This will avoid any seam-splitting to the cover on the way.
I worked in record stores for almost 25 years and I am selling a lot of my collection.
