At first glance I thought that this was "Flashes from The Archives Of Oblivion" but closer examination doubts this..."Flashes" was issued in 1974 with the cat number: SHDW 405..This has the matrix numbers:SHSP 4051 A1/B1 and SHSP 4052 A1/B2..This number would date this album to 1977 (His "Bullinamingvase" album is SHSP 4060) or maybe late 1976....Also,"Flashes" had 13 tracks..This has 14..

I have played it through and some of the tracks appear on the "Flashes" album,but in the wrong place ("Kangaroo Blues" is the 4th track on "Flashes",here it is the 5th.."Me And My Woman" is 6th on "Flashes",here it is 7th.."Highway Blues"is 9th here,on "Flashes" it is the 8th track)..Also the track times are different for example "Highway Blues" is just over 10 minutes on the white label but over 15 minutes on "Flashes".....

The stampers are 1G on all 4 sides..

It is a double Lp (as a white label test press) with music on both sides,so it was very close to getting released..

Test pressings were done to test the sound quality..Only a handful were pressed,they were never commercially available and were often destroyed once their purpose had been served..

You are never going to find one of these again!...

Both discs are in their original paper sleeves..The top left corner of the sleeves has "Roy Harper Live At The Rainbow Record 1 (or 2)" handwritten in blue felt tip..

Two of the four labels have nothing at all on them,the other two have "A" in biro.. 

The discs look EX minus with a few paper scuffs..They have NO nasty scratches scuffs or other nasty marks....They play EX+++..Very clean sound!.......Sorry the pictures are not very exciting!!.

I will try and get some soundclips uploaded,but I am not going to guarantee this!..

UK buyers are welcome to collect this in person or collect it from The Southend Record Fair (13th February,13th March..),where there are LOADS of great albums and singles offered for sale...NEW VENUE for this fair is West Leigh Schools on the A13..SS9 2JB.

There are delays on post going INTO the USA due to an increased scanning of packages at US Customs (Anti terrorist measures,I believe)..Parcels ARE being delayed and delivery may take a MONTH!!..

The Russian Federation is also having delays on deliveries ..This is due to the sheer volume of parcels going into the Federation..Again,expect delays!.

All items are securely and professionally packed..Records are shipped out of their jackets to prevent seam splits..If there is an inner sleeve or a picture sleeve,then the disc will be packed in a plain white sleeve.. I try and keep shipping costs to an absolute minimum,byut Paypal don't help by taking commission on the postal costs!!
