Description

RARE!!  Roy Harper LP. Original  1967 MONO UK.

“Come out Fighting Ghengis Smith”.   MONO.

Earliest FIRST PRESSING!!  CBS “Patents Pending”.

Up for auction is this RARE 2nd LP offering by Roy Harper. This is an extremely difficult LP to find in any condition, but this example is as nice as you will find anywhere. They do not come much better than this.

NOTE: All my records in this listing were bought as new by one lady owner when first released.

COVER:   Single sleeve by Ernest J. Day “Patents Pending”. Just wonderful. If I really had to be critical, there are just a couple of the tiniest scratches on the back of the cover by the boxed CBS logo. But, this is being hypercritical. Most sellers would never mention something so trivial. Shows extremely light storage wear, and I do mean light. See scans. Otherwise, just brilliant and RARE on its earliest E.J. Day sleeve.

VINYL:     Just superb. May have been played about 2-3 times only. Still retains its just pressed glossy mirror like sheen and is perfectly flat with no warps, skips or jumps. Would be hard to find better. Graded; a very strong  EX++/mint -.

LABELS:   Amazing deep full matt orange originals. One small spindle trail on each side, and that’s it. Otherwise as new.

MATRIX NUMBERS:   SIDE ONE:    63184 – A1

                                          SIDE TWO:   63184 -  B1

STAMPERS:                   SIDE ONE:    C   something (impossible to read)

                                          SIDE TWO:   C  A5

INNER SLEEVE:          Correct orange/black/white CBS advertising type. Couple of fold creases at bottom. EX++

AUDIO:  As you would expect from vinyl this good. Truly superb MONO sounds. Enjoy.

To sum up. This album is definitely a MUST HAVE ALBUM of the very best quality, and would certainly be a great addition to any existing collection.  The MONO sounds are superb and truly classic. This rare album does not surface very often, so don’t miss out. Grab yourself a large slice of great musical history  -  and enjoy!!

A MUST HAVE ALBUM!!

BEST OF LUCK AND HAPPY BIDDING.
