This record is in excellent condition. It does have spindle marks visible on the labels(which have no EMI box, hence this is the true UK 1970 original), but no pen marks, scuffs, fading or any other damage. The centre is tight and overall they are in good shape with just the light spindle marks to report.
As for the vinyl itself, both sides are free from anything remotely deep or sinister and have just a few light lines visible in normal light. These and a few more incredibly light wispy lines become visible under very bright white light, but again nothing remotely serious. The record has no serious scuffs but does also have a tiny spot/blemish on side 2(pics) and its impact will be described below. So overall a record of 45 years old in great shape that has been played but has been well cared for and is still in good shape with no major defects and a lovely vivid shine.
I play tested the record and it plays really well. It lays flat but there must be a very slight storage warp as there is a little movement noticeable in the record arm. This is minor however and has no affect on the sound produced which is superb. Its crisp, clear and other than a trace in the run in has little to no surface noise or interference. There are obviously no skips, sticks or really serious issues and luckily the small spot/blemish on side 2 is in the last track 'Hells Angels' which is louder than others. It does cause 5/6 very light clicks but these are as I say very hard to hear over the audio and I think you will struggle to hear them unless listened out for. So overall a thoroughly enjoyable play test with no serious clicks, no pops and very little audible interference at all. A superb 1st press album in great shape with beautiful sound quality.
The gatefold sleeve is in excellent condition. It has slight wear to the edges and corners but they are all strong with no splits or weak areas. There is actually little wear to the edges and it is mainly just bumping/wear to the corners that is evident. Other than this it is clean, bright and has a strong spine. There are no tears, scuffs or pen marks anywhere and only a minor amount of creasing to the laminate on both sides. There are no real ring marks visible but there is a little grubbiness inside the gatefold, towards the top left area. This and all the other issues are pretty minor however and overall I think considering its age is in excellent condition.
It contains its original Harvest inner which is in very good+ condition. This has no splits, tears or pen marks but does have some age related discolouring and creasing.
The record will be packaged in cardboard stiffeners and bubble wrapped thoroughly when dispatched. It will also be sent in a brand new protective plastic sleeve, and within 24hrs of receiving payment to ensure swift delivery.
