Description
Up for auction from 1961 Roy Orbison (Lonely And Blue) Monument LP SM-14002 (Golden Stereo) 1st USA Pressing. Stereo copies of Roy's first two monument LP's have been difficult to find for decades, and is said they were among the very few LP's of the day found to achieve True Stereo at this early time in recording history. The audiophile community interest have pushed the prices far above their Mono counterparts, and are often revered as the finest Stereo pop recordings ever made. I would not normally list an LP in this condition except for the rarity. COVER: VG Has shelf wear to spines, and corners with bottom opening corner split an 1 1/2" has a long piece of scotch tape repairing half of the top spine is overall still presentable as shown. RECORD: Side 1. VG- Has lots of scuffs, rubs, hairlines with a few long scratches one of these I can just catch with my nail is overall still glossy. Side 2 G+ Like the first side except has a patch of deep scratches that can easily be felt is overall still glossy. Both sides play tested fine sounding great, and tracking good on my Technics however it could be different on your Turn Table. LABELS: Have lots of light spindle marks. Comes in a Columbia inner sleeve. Overseas bidders please message me for shipping prices, as I do insist on tracking. Thanks and Good Luck!
