Description
You are bidding on "OOBY DOOBY" and "GO! GO! GO!" by ROY ORBISON on SUN 242 recorded in Memphis in 1956. This was Orbison's first SUN recording. I have always been under the impression this was his first release, but "Ooby Dooby" was first recorded by him on the je-Wel label. Sam Phillips heard it and had him re-record it on SUN. It peaked at number 59 on the top 100 and sold 200,000 copies.
Roy Kelton Orbison was born in Vernon, Texas in 1936 and died in Hendersonville, Tennessee in 1988 at the age of 52.
Condition: VG+ - few light scratches, but many light scuffs that don't affect play. Plays very well, excellent fidelity. I have carefully cleaned this with only a wet, soft cloth.
I am getting up in years and am selling my small collection, as my children and grandchildren are not interested.
Please bid with confidence, if you are not happy with any record, return it for a refund. I want my customers to be happy with their purchase
If buying more than one record, please do not pay until I have sent an invoice.
