"The Youthful Mind" is the sole LP of the distinctive, jaw-dropping trumpeter Roy Roman. His skill and ability to play an extremely high register made him a highly sought-after player, and he ended up backing up Duke Ellington, Ethel Merman, Frankie Valli, Tito Puente, Bob Hope and Stanley Cowell among countless more legends.
