RUBY BRAFF & ELLIS LARKINS – TWO BY TWO – VANGUARD 8507 – EX/EX- - MONO

Recorded on October 14, 1955, this session features Ruby Braff on trumpet and Ellis Larkins on piano, as they play “Music of Rodgers And Hart.” SIDE A: MY FUNNY VALENTINE; IN A MOUNTAIN GREENERY; WHERE OR WHEN; I DIDN’T KNOW WHAT TIME IT WAS; BLUE MOON and I COULD WRITE A BOOK. SIDE B: THIU SWELL; MY ROMANCE; YOU TOOK ADVANTAGE OF ME; LITTLE GIRL BLUE; I MARRIED AN ANGEL and THE GIRL FRIEND. This is a MONO recording.

I have graded the vinyland the record jacket as EX for the following reasons. The vinyl is clean of any marks, except on Side B Cut 2, which has one that does not interfere with play. Otherwise, it would be a M- grade. There is no real sign of wear in or around the spindle hole. The vinyl still retains its original luster. The record jacket is in excellent condition with little to no sign of wear, except two very small taped seams on the top left and top right of the jacket.
