Description
Lot of 4 stereo records by the acclaimed violinist Ruggiero Ricci. The vinyl records are in Excellent to Near Mint condition and the covers are Very Good+ to Excellent. The original inner sleeves are included and do not have any splits.
1) Paganini Concerto No. 2 in B Minor for Violin & Orchestra and Saint-Saens Concerto No. 1 in A Major for Violin & Orchestra, Decca Records #DL 710106, Stereo, Gold Label Series. The vinyl record is in Near Mint condition in both physical appearance and playing quality. The cover and inner sleeve are in Excellent condition. I’ve played this record in its entirety on a high-quality turntable and there was exceedingly minimal surface noise and no skips. The record surfaces are very shinny with no needle scratches and essentially no scuff marks. The front cover shows a just a tiny bit of wear and is still glossy. The white rear cover has yellowed a bit around the perimeter and shows just a little wear. The corners of the cover are in great shape and there are no splits on the edges. The inner liner has yellowing around the perimeter but no splits.
2) Bravura! on Decca Records #DL 710172, Stereo, Gold Label Series,1970. The vinyl record is Near Mint, the cover, is Very Good+ and the inner sleeve is Excellent. I’ve played the first few minutes of both sides of the record and there was exceedingly minimal surface noise. The record surfaces are very shinny, there are no needle scratches and just a few superficial scuff marks on Side-1. Side-2 is clean. The cover has light wear, light wear at the corners and no splits on the edges. The inner sleeve has yellowed slightly with age around the perimeter and has no splits.
3) Paganini Caprices on London Records #CS6163, Stereo, FFRR (Full Frequency Range Recording). This one has the white back cover. The vinyl record is Near Mint and the cover and inner sleeve are in Excellent condition. I’ve played the first few minutes of both sides of the record and there was exceedingly minimal surface noise. The record surfaces are very shinny and there are no scratches or scuff marks on the vinyl. The cover has only light wear, no corner damage and no splits on the edges. The inner sleeve has just a wrinkle and no splits.
4) Violin Plus 1 on Decca Records #DL7 10177, Stereo, Gold Label Series, 1970. The vinyl record, the cover and the inner sleeve are all in Excellent condition. I’ve played the first few minutes of both sides of the record and there was just slight surface noise but not to a great degree and not constant. This is a very listenable record. The record surfaces are very shinny, there are no needle scratches and just a few superficial scuff marks on the vinyl. The cover has only light surface wear, light wear at the corners and no splits on the edges. The inner sleeve has yellowed slightly with age around the perimeter and has no splits.
