For sale is a rare import vinyl release of Ruggiero Ricci plays Wieniawski featuring Joanna Gruenberg (Unicorn-Kanchana, DKP 9003).
This rare import from Europe (Holland specifically) features a unique performance from Ruggiero Ricci playing the music of Henryk Wieniawski!
The pieces recorded on this album are considered among the most technically demanding ever written for the violin. Even so, every item has been recorded in complete individual takes, entirely without edits.
On this recording Ruggiero Ricci plays a violin made in 1774 by Lorenzo Storioni. The composer Henri Vieuxtemps performed on a violin by this maker.
Disc is EX with hardly any wear and plays amazing with the outer tracks playing with very faint pops and a couple rotational pops, clean and glossy and plays accordingly! Perhaps a cleaning could reduce the outer edge surface noise, as the inner tracks play with hardly any surface noise.
Jacket is VG++ with light wear, a few spots along the edge with dings, surface wear from storage and creasing, otherwise closer to EX!
