Description
Canadian rockers Rush kicked off their quest for world domination in 1971, and released their rockin' debut in 1974. It was blusey, power trio rock. At the time, I'm sure they wanted to be like their heroes in Cream and Led Zeppelin. But by album no. 2, in 1974, everything changed, as original drummer John Rutsey, (who is now deceased) had to depart the band due to health reasons. Enter Mr. Neil Peart, and the rest is, shall we say, history!
Neil proved to be not only one of the world's most prolific drummers, he was also one of the world's best lyricists! Proving that on 'Fly By Night', the album showed music lovers everywhere that Rush was going to be a force to be reckoned with! Up for grabs today is a special limited edition Japanese picture disc of that amazing album!
With that iconic owl gracing the A side, the blueish purple colors pop right out at you! The B side has the song titles and credits, as well as small pics of the band, with long hair. (Hey, it was the 70s. We ALL had long hair! Lol.) This comes with a discography backing card, as well. (No obi strip on this one.) The vinyl looks new, with only a couple of very, very minor flaws that I can see. (From the manufacturing process, and nothing caused by mishandling or anything like that.) I'm calling it excellent, as I tend to grade very strict. The discography backing card also looks great! No tears, holes, or writing on it, at all!
These rare Rush Japanese imports were made in a strictly limited number, and they don't pop up here on Ebay too often! Grab this baby, while you still can! Rush memorabilia is the coolest rock stuff to own, or give as a gift! You know, for that special Rush fan in your life...! It was difficult to score this copy, and could very well be the absolute LAST one I'm able to obtain.
