I get these rare Japanese import picture discs from time to time. The Rush picture discs are getting more and more scarce every day. This looks like it may very well be the LAST copy of 'Fly By Night' that I'll be able to offer!

Canadian rockers Rush kicked off their quest for world domination in 1971, and released their rockin' debut in 1974. It was blusey, power trio rock. At the time, I'm sure they wanted to be like their heroes in Cream and Led Zeppelin. But by album no. 2, in 1974, everything changed, as original drummer John Rutsey, (who is now deceased) had to depart the band, due to health reasons. Enter Mr. Neil Peart, and the rest is, shall we say, history! (RIP John...you were part of the spark that ignited a fire that burned brightly, for over FORTY years!)

Neil came to be not only one of the world's most prolific and intricate drummers, he was also one of the world's best lyricists! He proved that on 'Fly By Night', and the album showed music lovers everywhere that Rush was going to be a force to be reckoned with! Up for grabs today is a special Japanese picture disc of that amazing album!

With that iconic owl gracing the A side, the blueish/ purple colors pop right out at you! The B side has the song titles and credits, as well as small pics of the band, with long hair. (Hey, it was the 70s. We ALL had long hair! Lol.) This comes with a discography backing card, as well. (No obi strip on this one.) The vinyl looks new, with only a couple of very, very minor flaws that I can see. (From the manufacturing process, and nothing caused by mishandling or anything like that.) It looks mint minus, as the record itself is still all shiny and clean! The ONLY obvious flaw is a small tear in the backing card. Around the owl's beak. Not even exactly sure how it got there, but I believe it came to me that way. Can probably be fixed with a couple of magic markers! (See last two pics for this flaw.)

These rare Rush Japanese imports were made in a strictly limited number, and they don't pop up here on Ebay too often! Grab this baby, while you still can!
