Russ Conway Liverpool Pops 1963 UK DEMO pressing of the ‘From Me To You / How Do You Do It / I Like It / Please Please Me / Thank You Girl / Do You Want To Know A Secret' 7" single.
Released on the 2nd August 1963 on the Columbia label. Both labels state: DEMONSTRATION RECORD NOT FOR SALE’. ‘PKT’ tax code is embossed on the a-side label. The a-side matrix here is pressed in error. Only one digit ‘R’ is shown. This should be ‘JR’ as side two which stands for ‘Journalist Review’. The vinyl is housed within the original 1963 sleeve.
Both sides are medleys of tracks made famous by Liverpudlian pop groups (The Beatles / Gerry & The Pacemakers / Billy J. Kramer & The Dakotas). The b-side features an entire line up of Lennon/McCartney Beatles songs. A great early Beatles related demo.
The Matrix numbers are:
Side 1. 7XCA 27050-2N J KT
Side 2. 7XCA 27051-1N JR KT
The vinyl is in VERY GOOD+ condition.
Both labels are in EXCELLENT/EXCELLENT+ condition. BUT ‘AVW’ has been written on the a-side.
The sleeve is in VERY GOOD+ condition.
