Description
Accompanied by Her Ebony Four, Ethel Waters sings "You Can't Do
What My Last Man Did" and "Maybe Not At All" on electric Race
Series Columbia 14112-D.
Both sides are particularly interesting. On the first side, Ethel sings
and has humorous verbal exchanges with one "Slow Kid" Thompson.
On the second side, Ethel sings a verse, and then does a verse
imitating Clara Smith! She follows it up with a verse imitating Bessie
Smith!
Recorded in 1925, this 78rpm disc is in very nice excellent to
excellent-plus (E to E+) condition. There are a couple of short
harmless edge lams, no noise.
