Radium Through the Smoke 7” EP NWOBHM VERY RARE

 

This is a 1981 UK release on Isotope  ISO 731. Record is in near-mint condition and plays perfectly. Picture sleeve is very good, with only very minor and scarcely visible signs of wear.

 

This is a very rare and collectable single, the only release by this band. Just 500 copies were pressed.

 

According to a contributor to the forum on heavy metal website  www.hellridemusic.com, this is a contender for the Top 10 7" of the entire “New Wave of British Heavy Metal” genre.

Nottingham’s RADIUM were part of the legendary "EAST MIDLANDS BAND CO-OPERATIVE" along with RACE AGAINST TIME,HELL and PARALEX. The bands ultra rare (Only 500 pressed) "Through The Smoke" EP is an excellent piece of extremely heavy and doomy metal and highly sought after. Two band members (Kev Healey & John Vaites) later formed JACKYL. Drummer Tonka went on to form China White, then Chain Gang (who failed to gain a record deal despite sharing Iron Maiden’s management). Tonka later joined Wraith.
