Rage Against The Machine Evil Empire Vinyl LP 1996 Original First Pressing.
I did a full album complete PLAY TEST on a high end Technics SL-1200MK7 turntable. All turntables/needles (stylus) may sound/play differently but this should give you the most accurate idea of the audio quality.
The album played through on both sides with no skips. There is a light bit of "crackling"(surface noise) that can be heard during soft/quiet intros before the music kicks in and during some of the soft/quiet interludes. Very rarely can any surface noise be heard when the music is loud. Track 2 on side 2 has a couple of light pops during the interlude. Other than the light "crackle" in the quiet parts the audio quality sounds really good. Given the record's age I think it is a very solid listen.
Visually the vinyl has surface marks and hairlines on both sides that do not affect play other than what was mentioned above. The labels are in excellent condition. Visual grading would probably be VG but defintely plays better than it looks. Probably plays somewhere in the mid VG+ range with the light audible surface noise between tracks and in the real quiet parts. None of the surface marks or hairlines can be felt with your finger as there are no deep scratches.
The original insert/inner sleeve is included. It shows signs of wear and has a couple of inch seam split on the bottom and on one of the sides. See photos.
The jacket has several creases that are shown in the photos. I included a video so you can get a pretty good idea of the condition that the jacket is in. The creases are more evident when you tilt the jacket under a light. There are also some indentations on the back of the jacket that I have shown in the photos.
Overall, a great listening copy.
