Rage Against The Machine - Self Titled LP
This is the original 1992 First US Pressing on black vinyl.
Play tested on a high end Technics 1200mk7 turntable. Overall plays nicely with some light surface noise/“crackling” during quiet intros/interludes. Plays very nicely while the music is playing. There were no skips on any of the tracks. Here’s a break-down of the play test:
Side 1
Track 1 ~ some very light surface noise only during quiet intro then plays well when the music starts.
Track 2 ~ couple light pops/light surface noise during quiet intro then plays well when music starts.
Track 3 ~ very light crackling during intro and a bit during the quiet part at the end of the track, otherwise plays well.
Track 4 ~ soft crackling during intro and quiet part of song. Otherwise plays well.
Track 5 ~ Sounds great all the way through.
Side 2
Track 1 ~ Sounds great but has 3 light pops in the middle of the track.
Track 2 ~ light bit of crackling in the middle of the track but otherwise plays well.
Track 3 ~ some very light crackling during soft intro then plays well
Track 4 ~ Sounds great all the way through.
Track 5 ~ Sounds great all the way through.
The original insert/inner sleeve is included. It shows a bit of wear, some light creases and it has a couple inch seam split on each side. Record will be shipped in a brand new generic inner sleeve to make sure no further damage occurs to the inner sleeve.
The vinyl has light hairlines and some general scuffing. Nothing that can be felt with a finger or any deep scratches. The labels on the vinyl are in excellent shape. See photos.
The jacket shows some corner rounding and a few light creases near the seam that are shown in the photos. There is some light indentations of numbers in the upper right hand corner that can only be seen when you tilt the jacket under a light and the light hits it just right. Not really very significant but I wanted to mention it. A bit of corner rounding from general storage wear. All corners are shown in the photos. I included photos with any issues i noticed circled in red. Overall, given its age I would say that the jacket is really pretty solid with some light signs of wear. The video that is included with the photos should give you a pretty good idea of the jacket's condition.
